Varta Powerone P10 Mercury Free Hearing Aid Batteries Pack of 60

Good quality batteries. I tried batteries from the big warehouse store and about half of them were dead. I've used this brand in the past and never had a bad battery. In the end these might be more expensive to buy but when you account for getting a bunch of dead batteries, these are cheaper in the long run.

I've been using PowerOne batteries for a long time. They were always easy to remove from their packaging; there was a little cardboard tab to pull down to create a small opening, and then the plastic wheel containing the batteries would rotate to the opening. Easy to replace batteries on the go; I always kept a package of them in any bag I was using. I recently ordered a batch, and hoo boy. The company seems to be under new management, as the name "Varta" is now attached to the product. The packaging has changed, and you now need scissors or an exacto knife to get the batteries out. You have to saw through multiple layers of blade-dulling plastic. Definitely not something to do on the go. My next order will be for batteries from a different supplier.

Batteries last between 4 to 5 days with about 12 hours of use per day. Current batch ordered in June has a guaranteed good date of 03-2021. I have been so impressed by the quality and price of these batteries that this is my third order since June 2016. Shipment from UK was fast, and packaging was very good. Highly recommended.

I just received the "new and improved" "Child-Resistant" pack of hearing aid batteries. There's nothing improved about this. First of all, you now need a scissor to cut into the packaging to get to one battery. Once you cut into the packaging following the scissors marks, that's not the end! You then have to cut along the top of serveral batteries to finally release one. No more just reaching into my bag, discretely pulling out my battery pack and replacing my battery. This is now a total project. I ended up cutting the whole packet up. See photo. The packaging is so difficult to open that forget kids getting into it, adults can't get into it either! And you've totally forgotten your customer. Elderly people with limited mobility in their hands. My mother had to have someone come over to cut into her battery packs. She didn't have the finger strength to do it herself. Also, I don't have young kids running around who want to play with my hearing aid batteries. And now I have to pack scissors in my carry on when I travel... Dumb as the day is long. Bring back the old packaging.

What is pictured is the old packaging, which was user friendly. The current is not! Especially for the elderly or for people with dexterity issues. But, the change was made due to changes in laws so that children also couldn't easily open them.

Have been using these batteries for years because the quality is better than the major brands. However, a sudden change in packaging? First of all, using hearing aids and these tiny batteries is a challenge enough for senior citizens, almost sadistic. Same goes for small medications, how can elderly people deal with this? All of a sudden, some lawyers probably decided that the packaging needs to be child proof? So, to open a pack of ten batteries to get at one, you need to destroy the package which leaves 8 or 9 batteries all over the place!! Easily edible by toddlers no doubt. Foolish.

I have found these batteries to be excellent. I prefer them over all others that l have tried. I ware hearing aids and these work the best. My entire family are hearing impaired. We all live in different places but we all buy these. Excellent quality EJB
