My 4 year old cat has long black fur and she is not that good at grooming herself. On top of that she has issues with her undercoat so she gets mattes more near her tail. I have tried many different kinds of brushes/combs to try to brush out the mattes before they get so bad that I have to shave them off. However my cat hates to be brushed because all of the other brushes I bought it the past would pull on the mattes but not really remove them. I would even try to loosen the mattes up so it would be easier for the brush to get them but to no avail and I would end shaving them off anyway. I had to do some research because obviously the generic brushes that say they “work” on long cats do not work for me. I was surprised when the words ‘cat hair rack” popped up in my search bar so I just got on Amazon and looked up “cat hair rack” and happened upon this brush and bought it because it was cheep. To my surprise it actually works perfectly! The first time I used it looked like my cat had exploded on my back porch there was so much hair! And it was able to remove her mattes with little to no pulling. Don’t get me wrong she still hates being brushed but I can brush her for longer periods of time now before she starts trying to bite me. I have also noticed a dramatic difference it made for her matting issue. I use it once or twice a week and I hardly see or feel them anymore when I brush her. I love it!!

Easy to use and works great.

I've been through a LOT of different types of pet brushes with my heavy-shedding dog over the years (medium length, semi-wirey with dense, fluffy under coat). I figured this would be a another fine-but-not-great attempt. But I was wrong! This actually makes a difference! I never realized how many little tangles occur in her type of coat until I used this brush. It doesn't skim the surface - the teeth really reach through the layers. It doesn't require much pressure, so even my uncooperative dog puts up with it (... for awhile, but that's still longer than any other brush). The teeth are totally rounded, so there's no risk of scratching the skin. Because the teeth longer, you can brush for a longer amount of time before having to clean the fur from the brush (which slides off easily). The handle is padded, making it comfortable for the user. It also feels sturdy and well-made. Advice: much like brushing the long hair of a person - go slowly. If you feel like you're catching tangles, try to gently work them out, or (better yet) skim the surface of the fur in that area, and work your way down towards the skin after multiple light passes (rather than starting with more pressure, closer to the skin, and potentially pulling the tangles up into even more tangles in the surface hair, thus compounding the knots into a bigger issue). Because it catches tangles well, the only risk is "yanking" too hard and pulling the fur in a way that's painful to your pet. It doesn't dramatically help shedding overnight, and I do find that it's still helpful to go over the coat again with a finer tooth comb (or another brush, specifically designed for shedding), but this makes that entire process much more effective by getting the hair loose enough to come out much more easily.

I have a 6 year old half German Shepherd half Belgian Malinois and when I tell you, this is the best dog brush I’ve ever used in my entire life. This arrived yesterday and somehow I’ve removed enough fur off my dog that I could create three new dogs with all this fur. I don’t pretend to understand how that’s even possible, but buy this right now. Right. Now.

Our boxer seemed extra hairy most of the summer. Finally decided that the hair glove just did t seem to be working and bought this brush. Boxers are short haired dogs and while they shed it’s never that much, usually. The first time I used it on him I was amazed. The thick gobs of hair that came out of him sorta scared at me first because I thought I was pulling all his hair out and hurting him. Until I saw he was leaning into the brush. I took off so much hair that it covered our deck. Wads of hair every stroke I made. This is really nice once you get into the swing of it. Pull against the grain and make a couple of swipes, then push with the grain and a wad of hair comes off the brush. I scooped this off with my other hand and was collecting it so it wasn’t blowing all over the place. With the round tips you can’t dig in and scrape the skin but watch for rolls in the skin, flatten them before brushing over them. I have brushed him now four times and he still hasn’t lost all the hair but you can feel the difference from the hair I have managed to get out. He enjoys it and he looks forward to it. If this broke today I’d have another one ordered immediately. Thick coated dogs? You need this! Boxers aren’t supposed to have thick undercoats but this thing found one. I can’t imagine what this would do for a husky or a German Sheppard. Awesome product!

This shedding brush works wonders on long thick German shepherd hair. Easy to grip. Works good on tangles

Works really well, got through all the small knots that were on my Shih Tzu. Would recommend buying for your fur baby🐶
