Thise is a cute set of china mugs with the pretty patterns from the New Country Roses line. The color palette is modern and decidedly feminine. These mugs don't have any metallic gilding or patterning, making them safe for microwave and dishwasher, unlike their traditional cup and saucer counterparts. The cups are a decent size and provide a reasonable serving. The china is somewhat translucent but not thin or too delicate...they have a good weight and balance making them practical for every day use. Nowhere does it indicate (that I could find) that this is bone china. Though officially marked and licensed by Royal Albert, my cups were made in China. The quality is good and equal to other Royal Albert pieces I own. The set came in a pink holder (not a box) that can be easily wrapped for gift giving. The colors are bright but not shocking or overly pale. They match the colors of other items in New Country Roses pattern. A good choice for anyone who likes fine china but wants easy care and use.

I was looking forward to this product and they arrived broken. 2 broken and 2 ok. They are glass and therefore breakable, no protective packaging, just sent in a plastic post bag. The product itself - beautiful. The design, the colours do not disappoint. Just wish more care was taken by despatch.

They are beautiful and I have used them for 3 years now but the color/ print has faded after washing in dish washer ….. I also have a 15 year old set of royal Albert country roses coffee mugs that was bought in England and the print / color still looks as it was back then and has not been affected even with a fish washer ….. I feel that their quality has gone down in recent years… I wish that was not the case as these mugs are just so beautiful

I love tea cups and all things tea party. I’m also a huge English tea set and Royal Albert fan. Usually I like to buy their pretty teacups but I had been eyeing these modern mugs for a while. So glad I finally for them because unlike the fancy tea cups, these are pretty and elegant yet more casual and much more useable. You can use them everyday or with friends. They are also packaged very well and could be a great gift for Mother’s Day, birthdays, housewarming or even for teachers. I know I would love them as a gift!
