That being stated, when this coupling part gave out ( in many pieces) we sought to replace the part to enable the garage door lifter to work properly again. We found it with this coupling, it was just as described, arrived quickly, wasn’t too pricey, and is installed- I hope that it will last as long as the original part. Thanks

To repair a screw drive door opener, this is the part you need.
After over twenty years of faithful service, my Liftmaster garage door opener stopped working. I could hear the motor, but noticed the long screw shaft was not turning. So I got a ladder and took a closer look at where the motor shaft mates to the screw shaft and discovered that the original coupling that connects those two components had broken. Without much trouble, I was able to replace the broken coupling with this new one (it fit perfectly) and the opener is once again working like a champ. Purchased two so I could have a spare on the shelf should this problem ever happen again. If the new coupling lasts as long as the original, I'll be super happy!
