Great value for cricket, baseball, softball
We use this in our baseball club for measuring the speed that pitchers are throwing at. Obviously it would serve this purpose equally well for softball or cricket. The build quality is superb with a "rubberised" finish and there is nothing to learn. You literally choose miles or kilometers via the button on the back, point, then pull the rigger. We now have 2 of these. The first was purchased in the US when we made side by side comparisons with proper 'Jugs' radar guns. The speed results were always identical (+/- 1mph). They cost multiples of the Bushnell so unless you need the Jugs ability to be constantly monitoring speed or calculating averages etc the Bushnell is a bargain. UK prices vary enormously so son't overpay. I made the mistake of trying to buy through CrazyCameras before I found out that it is a scam site. Amazon were next cheapest.

Check the price before you order?
Seems to work OK. And as normal after receiving item the price drops. Is it only me this happens too?

Simply does not work
We ordered this for a school project. last Friday we opened it, inserted the correct batteries and it simply does not work. When you press the button for the unit to turn on, you get a reading...then when you press the trigger to obtain a speed the unit simply turns off. I had a look at the Bushell website to see if there was a troubleshooting page, but unfortunately the only information is exactly the same as the insert that came with the unit.

ACCURATE - WELL MADE - USER FRIENDLY
This was purchased to be used by our Community Speedwatch Team. It arrived quickly and it was immediately apparent that this was a well made product. It was tested in live conditions and was found, not only accurate, but really simple to use. A nice product at a competitive price.

Arrived very fast and in great condition. Works very well. Able to test it on a few vehicles to see what reads out, etc. Has a nice finish on the body, sort of matte and softer than typical plastic to allow grip in cold or wet conditions. The LCD readout is okay but I found in bright sunlight it is hard to read the letters ( a minor complaint). The batteries are not included. The Speed Gun takes 2 "C" cell batteries and the manual says they must be alkaline so no recharged. This speed gun is simple to use. Squeeze trigger while aimed at ball, car, whatever, release trigger, see speed in either KMPH or MPH. The gun will display the highest speed captured during the trigger squeeze which to me is handy. The Speed Gun uses a 24.150 (give or take) radar and claims to read a speed on larger objects such as cars from about 1500 feet. All in all, not bad for the money. There is a way to adjust the frequency (that likely voids the warranty) and does require some basic skills to do and it isn't in the owners manual but can be found on-line.
