I was re-doing my home theater setup and decided, after spending thousands of dollars on the equipment, I should 'grow up' about connections. So I got some good Nakamichi banana plugs and purchased this SOMELINE Ferrule Crimping tool as a splurge. I'd seen some online YouTube videos that used ferrules and a crimper and thought, what the hell, for $30 I'll give it a try. It turned out to be trivial (actually it was even kind of fun) to use and made OUTSTANDING connections. Given that the wires are completely sealed in the ferrules and wire coatings there won't be any oxidation even over the long term. Moreover, I know it's kind of silly, but it gave my system the polished look of a professional installation which I have to admit is both pleasing to the eye and very functional. Is this tool necessary to make good audio connections? No. But it's well worth the cost to make the step up from DYI to professional standards here. One note: I almost gave it 4 stars because it has a lot of ferrule options but not that many of the specific one that I wanted to use for my Nakamichi banana plugs. But, in thinking it over, the fact that it gave me three lengths of the 14 gauge ferrules to choose from should actually be a "+" and not a "-". Given that 1) there were plenty for my project and 2) I couldn't find them anywhere else, this versatility has to fall on the 'pro' side of the pro/con equation.

This is the quad (square) crimp tool. it seems well made and works well. There are many ferrules of various sizes. I find it very useful and easy to use.

Great assortment of ferrules, I was not sure what size i actually needed for my project, this kit got me repaired and now I know what sizes go with each application. Crimper works great, nice clean and solid crimps.

Solid kit overall. Performs reliably and offers excellent value for the price.

At the price, this exceeded my expectations. The tool is decently made, the case is nice, and the selection and quantity of ferrules is great for doing some quick fixes. I can’t say whether it would work as a long-term tool, but if you need to get a few of these installed in a hurry, and you want something that does it right, this one does well.

This is an awesome tool. Well made quality. The organizer case is sold and well thought out. The are plenty of ferrules and pretty much all usual sizes and even some uncommon. This will up your game on terminals to electronics even to circuit panels.

A very impressive kit with a well-made radial crimping tool for ferrules' and a good wire stripper. The set is perfect for anyone who works in the field or even when working at your bench. The last tool I used that was this good cost about $300. I feel like I'm stealing from Someline.
