I loved switching over to these. They work super well, if not better. Helps to save making purchases of cotton swabs and makeup applicators. Helps prevent waste! I love anything that can help with that :)

These are nice but holder could be better

I like the idea - saves space and reduces waste. It looks nice, and the tips work well. The box had splinters. I would have preferred if the lid was attached and swiveled open. I’m not sure how long the swabs will last since they’re basically toothpicks, but if they mold or break, I might see if I can salvage the tips and glue them onto metal rods. This set is comparably priced ($9.90) right now to similar sets. It came in an unsealed box.

– My ears itch all the time. Consequently, my use of cotton swabs is at least three times a day or more. These silicone substitutes not only cut down on the waste, but the silicone is soft and satisfies the itch without digging into the delicate ear skin. The tips fit securely on the sticks, which was the first thing I checked before putting it in my ear. The tips are also larger around than your average cotton swab so there is less danger of putting it in your ear too far. I appreciate that the tips are on wooden sticks. Sometime with the cardboard sticks bend when you use them and that isn’t an issue with the wooden sticks. I love the little magnetic box but do check for rough spots in the wood, to avoid any splinter injuries. I had to take an emery board to smooth out a couple of rough spots in the wood.

These are interesting. I thought it would be a little gross to reuse q-tips, especially cleaning these off, but they are very easy to clean! The silicon tips gets the ear wax out really easily, and rinsing them off cleans them pretty quickly. I also used them to fix my eye makeup and it worked well. I had to press a little harder to get some wayward mascara off compared to a regular q-tip though. For regular ear cleaning those these work really well! And in the long run saves money on buying boxes of q-tips and waaaay more eco-friendly. The little wood box it came it is really nice storage box and super sturdy. I’m not sure what the middle part is made out of, it seems sturdy enough to last a while too.

I tried using one of these for my typical ear cleaning/wax removal, and it wasn't comfortable and I still had to go in with a Q-tip, which defeats the purpose. I also tried dipping one in a little eye makeup remover to fix my cat-eye liner, but it didn't help. I would not recommend this set.

I've used these for about the last week. I find that the one with the nubby ends are best for cleaning my ears. I've checked my ears with a regular cotton swab to see if they are actually keeping my ears clean and it appears that they are since the cotton swab didn't come back with any excessive wax. I've also used the smooth ended ones to assist with make up and they have worked well. I've been cleaning the ends with some mild castile soap and they clean up easily. One issue is that I like to clean my ears after I get out of the shower and these swabs don't dry my ears the way cotton ones do. That being said, I'm getting more used to it and will likely keep using these as to reduce cost of swabs and waste of them going into a landfill. It would have been good if the box had some markings on it as to designate what is the lid, since I always seem to open the box upside down and the swabs fall out. But the box is cute aside from that and keeps these swabs clean in my drawer in the bathroom.

I couldn't resist getting this adorable set. The case is made of bamboo and the "cotton" parts are made of food grade silicone and I love silicone. The case has magnetic closure which I have to admit isn't the most secure and wish it was more of a slide kind with one end attached so that the lid doesn't accidentally fall off. I use these mainly to clean the outer part of the ears and for make up and for cleaning crevices of my water bottle since this is stronger than Q tips and it's easy to wash and reuse.
