I recently purchased this chef knife and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. As someone who loves to cook, having a good quality knife is essential, and this one did not disappoint.Firstly, the blade is incredibly sharp and easily cuts through anything I've thrown at it, from meats to vegetables to fruits. It's also well-balanced, which makes it easy to handle and control.The handle is comfortable to grip and provides a secure hold, even when my hands are wet or slippery. Plus, it looks great too!Do not run this through the dishwasher. It is carbon steel and will get rust spots. Hand wash and dry only.Overall, I highly recommend this chef knife to anyone who's looking for a reliable and high-quality kitchen tool. It's definitely worth the investment and I'm sure it will last me for years to come.

This is the chef's knife version of the meat cleaver knife I previously bought and love it more! As I said in my other review, I was referred to this brand by one of my chef colleagues and I'm glad I discovered it. Cosmetically it's beautiful and looks like it cost 3 times the price or more. The natural pattern wood handle is beautiful and has a great feel with awesome weight balance. The carbon blade has a beautiful handcraft pattern of dimples which is very cool and unique looking. Of course with any knife it's all about the sharpness of the blade and this blade is super sharp and has retained it's sharpness after weeks of all day use in a high volume production kitchen. The other thing is the price; this is a great professional level knife at an affordable consumer price. That's it, I recommend this to anyone looking for a great valued knife!

This is a great knife

The knives look great, are very sharp, well balanced, and wood grain is beautiful. However, a couple of things, first, and most obvious, the sticky brown residue on the blade. I am glad I opened the package to inspect before I wrapped them for a gift. Secondly, the cap at the end of the handle is not smooth on the edges connected to the wood and are not flush with the handle. I provided a zoomed in pic of the handle end. I purchased three knives of this set and all of the handles are this way. Another knife wasn't sticky, but had sharpening dust residue clumped in the hammered texture. All of this can probably be solved with a good wash, bit when you purchase something new, the expectation is that the item will be clean and presentable. I would have been embarrassed if I had given the as the gift and that person opened a dirty set of knives.

I compared this to my coworkers Mastumoto Kiritsuke and this has much less curve. This knife is more like a Bunka. It's still very good for the price. I still recommend getting it. If anything it'll add to your versatility of knives if you're still gonna buy a Kiritsuke. I think I like the Bunka better anyway. It has much flatter edge.

Love the knife it is very sharp ni problems with chipping bending or rusting would highly recommend.

This is a very sharp knife which is the reason I bought it. Cut my finger 2 times the first time I used it. It’s beautiful and easy to use. Well worth the price.

Extremely sharp and not forgiving. Blade is beautiful and very sharp. Handle is nicely crafted as well. Its really like a short, lighter cleaver or a heavy chefs knife without the last 2 inches at the tip.. Kinda heavy but a very useful specialty knife. Too soon to tell if it holds an edge but it IS magnetic (if that says anything).
