Oxford - Hardcore XL 13mm Square Link 1.5m Chain & 11mm Padlock

Very good lock and my god it's heavy. Nice touch to close the key socket with a plastic catch to keep the elements out too. I had the 1.5m version and to show how much of a deterrent this gear is...I had a bike stolen 3 years ago, it didn't have any protection on it (silly me). I then got another bike with the 1.5m of this very system. Everyday locked for 3 years without fail...then one day it was raining, running late yes you guessed it I didn't put the lock on!!! come back 5 hrs later no bike!! Coincidence ? I don't think so. These locks are preventitive so can highly recommend. The 1.5m version I had was fine but if you have a big sport tourer (mine is a triumph st 1050) or any 'big' bike get the 2m one, especially if you are chaining to a fitment like a guard rail or lampost etc gives you plenty of free reign to wrap the chain around the rear wheel and swing arm and then over the fitting you are attaching too. Highly recommended gear and tell your insurance company its thatcham rated. the 1m and 1.5m version i would use for scooters or smaller 125s.

This is some serious chain lock, from the pictures i had seen i never think this was so "bad ass". I think that my bike will be very well secured. The lock and keys, are the one thing that requires some attention because of the system used, make sure its well closed and i think its almost impossible to break.

I bought this after having my pedal bikes stolen from my garage and the police scene of crimes officer said that motorcycle locks were the only thing that will properly secure your bike. This chain does not disappoint as it would certainly need serious kit to get through. As other reviewers have said, it is very heavy and so only stays in the garage. The cloth cover protects bike frames from scratches very well.

No one has attempted to break it, so I cannot comment on its strength. It is very heavy and solid and would deter all but the most dedicated criminal. The only downside is that the lock is very fiddly. Recommended.

This is a solid lock. I am very lucky and have 2 bikes which I (bolt) together, thats why I purchased a longer chain. I know both bike are as safe as can be.

This chain is very think!! I'll have a few sweaty gypo's on my drive if they come to take my bike with anything less than an angle grinder. Be warned though, due to its size I would not recommend buying this to throw in your bag and use when you get to your destination. It's quite heavy
