The Conversation

I bought this quite a while ago knowing that I got the audio rip alongside the CD. This is all the nice things were getting things from Amazon as even though I don't have a CD player any more I can still listen to this album whenever I want. If you are Texas fan then this is obviously a no-brainer and if you're not it's well worth listening to. I enjoy the music of Texas now still in 2020 and enjoyed this when it first came out in 2013.

So, I was there at the start in 1989, loving the Southside sound, and their second album, which has almost disappeared from view (Mothers Heaven)is not unlike this new one. The two disc C.D. has some excellent new music from the Band and Sharleen Spiteri has nailed it as she focuses completely on giving a first class performance throughout both the studio album and the sensational live C.D. that accompanies it. Whether it is the album title track, the superb Detroit City, Talk About Love or Big World, the album testifies hand on heart that sometimes an 8-year break is worth-while! Never has Ms Spiteri sounded so invigorated. Very highly recommended.

I very much liked the Texas hits from the '90s and a few years ago I saw Sharleen live when she was touring with her own Melody album. The show was fantastic and I enjoyed most of the tracks from that album. But this album is such a let down. I enjoyed only 2 tracks - "The Conversation" and "Dry Your Eyes" - the other 10 tracks were dull and instantly forgettable!I've already bought tickets for the Texas tour later in the year - whilst I'm still confident that they will put on a great live show, I just hope they dont play too many tracks from this album!

What a comeback album! I bought the deluxe version which gives the added bonus of a live cd which is good because having checked out tickets for their upcoming tour they start from £99!! Much as I love Texas I refuse to pay that sort of money!I have listened to the album several times now, and it is a grower, the more I hear it the more I like it! The production is fantastic, and in my opinion there is not a bad track on this album!

I've always quite liked Texas having previously bought a couple of albums, their Greatest hits, plus Sharleen's excellent solo album. I purchased this almost kind of half heartedly because of the good value price that included the live bonus cd. I'm so glad I made the effort, this really is a first class album. There are plenty of classic Texas sounding numbers, catchy songs, great melodies and wonderful vocals. I had probably forgotten just how good Texas are. The bonus live cd is just that - a real bonus added to a cracking new album.

I have been a Texas fan since the original the original Southside CD. Living in the US, Texas is in my opinion one of the best, most undiscovered, bands there is. I say "undiscovered" as a US perspective. I rarely find anyone who knows who they are here. Even those who listen to the same styles of music are unaware of Texas. I will give them a mix CD and they are hooked.I have a lot of different music that I listen to. I listen to Texas more that all of the others combined. There is a complexity and a sophistication to there music that you have to listen to appreciate. Amazing that it has been 25 years + since Southside.I enjoy sharing this band with friends. They are amazed at the sound and quality of the lyrics.The Conversation is another example of the talent of this group of people.

Of the 3 albums I bought together this arrived first and is my favourite although I would say I am bigger fans of the other two.The first CD is of new material and has some great acoustic tracks as well as there radio friendly singles.The second cd is basically a greatest hits live cd with the title track of there new album getting the live treatment too.Sharleen and the boys are on top form with this great new album.

I must admit when I first got this album I was really disappointed with it. In all honesty I was looking forward to it a great deal as it was Texas first offering in many a year and was expecting a little better than I got. Like everything you need to give it a chance so I persevered with it and after a few plays I found I actually liked quite a few of the songs and now I sing along merrily to them. One thing I will say though is a don't think there are many songs on here that we will be singing along to at the upcoming concerts in the fashion of Inner smile,say what you want et al. All in all I would say by all means buy it but don't expect an album of hits.

je ne connaissais pas avant d'avoir entendu sur une chaine radio et de les avoir contacté par telephone pour connaitre le titre du morceau diffusé sur l'antenne ce qui m'a incité a commander celui-ci ....et ...sitôt reçu a l’écouter... et... de suite j'aie aimé le 1er cd contenu dans la pochette j’apprécie la puissance tonique de la voix tout ici est très bon pour ce qui concerne le cd 2c'est la retransmission d'un spectacle.. . cela m'incite a y aller ..... je ne peu que conseiller l'achat de ce cd

que dire à part que musicalement c’est un très bon nouvel album, pas le meilleur mais très bonLe cd live est d'excellente qualitél'ensemble dans une pochette cartonnée de qualité avec livret

This album is not so good as I expected. I'm a little bit disapointed with this album. If I knew this before, I haven't bought it.

Depuis que je l'ai acheté, je l'écoute en boucle. Un son qui nous rappelle les sixties. La voix de Sharleen Spiteri chaude et envoutante. Parfait pour se détendre après une dure journée

Fan inconditionnelle de ce groupe, je l'ai redécouvert avec ce nouvel album qui marque le retour en grandeur de Texas et propose un nouveau style de musique plus orientée vers les ballades rock. La voix de la chanteuse est toujours aussi belle...à écouter impérativement!
