Ordered this after buying the lawn mower from this brand and being blown away by the quality. We wanted to go wireless on all our tools, being able to use the same batteries is of course a huge plus. This strimmer represents the brand as well as the lawn mower does; really solid and strong, there is no weed too thick or resilient for this thing. It has 2 wires for cutting so it very quickly chews through weeds and grass and has never sounded like it struggled at all. It is very heavy though, I will say that. I consider myself to be above average strong for a woman, but my arms and hands were absolutely knackered after doing our garden edges. I think I need to fashion some sort of belt loop to help me hold it for the times my husband isn't home to do the strimming for me. It was very easy to assemble out of the box and I had plenty of battery left after doing the strimming.

I already owned the hedge cutter / chainsaw multi function device (with a 40v) so opted for this once my old streamer had become to annoying to use (which all streamers do). The machine itself isn't a light one however is balanced well on the handle points. I re-utilised my 40v battery which plugged straight in and off I went streaming. The cutting guard (which this has) saved the new planted trees and overall it did a good job. The only niggle (which is why it gets 4 stars) is the self extending cutting wire which is designed to trigger and extend itself should it ever break. I have to say, all it did for me was extend past the unit (so overpopulate the wire area) which either needs winding back or simply breaks off when starting. My workaround was to keep it running at low rpm - (light trigger press) when moving around the garden. Overal, a heavy duty trimmer which does a good job however has just the one little niggle.

Well made and a good value for the price. I purchased the GreenWorks blower with two 40v batteries and the pole hedge trimmer as well so the whole system works quite well together and has already paid for itself after using it several times on first month instead of paying gardener to do this job. All well made and easy to use.

Used it for the first time and I’m really happy with its performance, Its light weight and powerful, 2Ah battery really lasted a long time, the garden edges looks really crisp for the first time. The trimmer head does not turn so you have to flip the whole trimmer to do edging (most profissional long shaft strimmers does not have the flip head feature which you will only find on short models as it would be impractical to flip the whole unit so absence of rotating head should not put you off) I’m a short person and it didn’t feel too long for me despite some comments that suggested otherwise.

This is my 3rd Greenworks tool after buying the Chainsaw and Mower. It’s great that the batteries work across all of the tools and are easily swapped around. The strimmer is easily put together and comes with 2 reels of wire so will last a while. The feed for the wire is easily managed too. Just the hedge trimmer to get now.

Great bit of kit. Easy to use, loads of battery life and cuts extremely well, with the convenience of fully remote use.

Good bit of kit, not too heavy and easy to use. Down side is battery doesn't last quite as long as hoped. And currently I can't use it as I had to return the damaged Lawnmower I bought it with and both the batteries and charger! If I buy another 40 amp battery it's £129.99! More than the strimmer.
