Does this display lyrics embedded in music file tag?

Yes with various success. If you have an app that displays them well I would advise you to stick with it on this Walkman. The built-in app is somewhat inconsistent but it's Android 12 so you can install one that works better for you.

Can the Sony do Airplay?

What is the maximum size sd memory card supported?

I've successfully used a 256gb card of which about 238gb was used. I am currently using a 512gb card, but in the process of cleansing my library metadata and reripping CDs as FLAC for higher quality with lossless compression.

I can't get the microsd to stay in the mp3 player. anyone else? what do i do? how do i play music from the sd card?

I haven't had any connectivity issues. The music library should automatically recognize the SD card. Don't have to do anything additional on your end.

walkman'ish portable android

good on looks solid built quality but android music app keep failing and freezes , downgrade from NW-A55 music app, has no bluetooth transmiter and does not support for hi-res 5- pole noise cancelling earphones, and its doesnt transfer music from mac os directly, needs 3rd party paid apps.
