I was really excited to get this to use in the classroom. Some students have trouble visualizing 3D solids from 2D sketches, even if they are drawn well. These shapes can function as: -opaque solids (with the nets inside), letting students get an idea of visible edges and faces from different angles -translucent solids (with the nets removed), letting students see the “hidden” edges and faces -fillable for volume purposes -nets! It can be so hard for some students to really visualize how solids can “unfold” into 2D nets. This product lets them actually unfold without the inconvenience of flimsy paper nets. I would like to note that my kit was missing the cap for the rectangular prism, and did not come with the promised activity guide. It would be such a hassle to return it just for that, so I’m hoping I will be able to get in touch with the company for just those missing parts.
