Good Thing to Have Around the House
These are simple and easy to use. Touch the probe to a wire and see if its live. In the past, if a wire was coated with drywall mud as sometimes happen in a newer house, it was hard to use my old tester to see if it was live. With this, touch the porbe to wire and you know instantly. I have used the plug in electrical tester to check polarity and check an outlet. I have a combo leaf blower vacuum and if the vacuum attachment is not put on just exactly, it won't turn on, even though it looks like it fits correctly. Not sure if its the vacuum or the gfi outlet. With the tester it's a snap.

Tester non-functioning after minimal use.
Worked great for 2 months then started blinking red and green even with new batteries. Klein tools surprisingly not helpful. DO NOT BUY. Follow up- outside Amazon return window but contacted Klein tools who replaced with new tool. Rating increased.

2nd time buying
Like the title says, I’ve bought 2. Main reason is a temporarily lost the first one. lol they work great and are worth the money.

Good Value and Works as intended
Was originally shopping for just an outlet tester, but then saw this listing which also included GFCI test and separately, a non contact live voltage tester. For the price, this kit can't be beat for what you get and it's a reliable brand. The receptacle tester is easy to use. The led readings are easy to see and definitions are clearly printed on tool. The non-contact also works well, but took a few tries to understand how it works. I has tested on an outlet and it showed no voltage when inserted into the grounded side of the outlet, which makes sense but not something I was thinking about initially. It of course beeped when I inserted in the hot side. Just noting here that it's important to test multiple wires. Very happy with my purchase.
