Batteries need to be soldered
If you’re buying this to replace the battery, be ready to solder the connections. I bought this as both of my original keys were not holding charge (error message on the dash) the old key blades don’t fit securely, so it’s best to get the new blades cut. The case itself is neat and looks very similar to the original and works fine. The soldering is straightforward- just the terminals into the board and the new battery lines up fine with these. works great and apart from not having the BMW logo in the middle, is identical to the original. chip from original fits great and main thing is that it worked! happy with this replacement fob and would purchase again
