Can I use this for home defense? Will it shoot arrows?

At first glance, this question seems to be ridiculous.  Yet, I will answer.  First, you can indeed use the bar itself for self defense as it is a well-crafted piece of aircraft aluminum that works extremely well for enhancing your physique when used as designed, but could be used effectively as a weapon of self-defense if you were to be attacked.  Most likely with no damage to the Gorilla Bow itself!

As to the second part of your question, the Gorilla Bow could be used to shoot arrows if one so chooses to use it for that purpose.  However, you would probably need a custom-designed nock on your arrows for proper fit and the arrows would not fly overly far or be as accurate as ones let from a compound bow.  Note that drawing the bands is actually an excellent exercise for the Gorilla Bow system and, if done often and with increasing resistance, should enable you to defend yourself without resorting to misuse of the Gorilla Bow product line.

Is it worth the price?  $179 is a pretty hefty cost for such a small piece of equipment.

The decription said that Gorilla Bow (56" x 9.5" x 1.75"). Is the bar diameter 1.75 inches?

Yes, the bar diameter is 1.75 inches which for me makes a comfortable hand grip.

Question 4

Anyone know how it would be for kids, 12 year olds for fitness, baseball / softball. I dont want to start any weights at this point?
