Is this ironing board sturdy?

No. as you can see in the picture, the legs don't extend out in front of the pointed end far enough. Any weight on that end will cause it to tip forward. It is a very nice ironing board if you never use the pointed end.

What is the depth when folded?

This board is very light. The depth folded is the width of the board and I would say an inch to an inch and a quarter.

How's the pad? Anyone get the dreaded checker burn inn?

Pad is god, no problem. But it’s not sturdy for ironing. It moves too much, not stationary when ironing. Very annoy, it titters a lot!!!

Can iron rest on Bartenneli pro luxury be removed. ?

Mine didn’t have an iron rest thankfully
