Huining 4PCS Fluoride and Arsenic Water Filter Replacement for Purification System - Gravity Filter for Travel and Bucket Filtration

These filters are of good quality! I bought them to filter used isopropyl alcohol from my resin 3d printing projects, but these will not work with alcohol. I got a 4 pack and installed all 4 in a bucket that would gravity feed the alcohol through the filters into another bucket. The first attempt i discovered a broken threaded stud had occurred on one of the filters and i wasnt sure if it was already broken or if the rubber gasket had expanded due to the alcohol which could have caused a hydraulic pressure crack at the threaded outlet, or if the plastic at the base of these filters is just not compatible with the alcohol. So i made another attempt with the remaining 3 i had left and checked them thoroughly for damaged threaded outlets before assembly and they all looked fine. Came in today and another one of the filters broke where the outlet meets the base again, same failure as before. So, these im guessing are just not suitable for alcohol filtration. Which they arent advertised that way so i have no gripes! This was merely a test run to see if they’d work and as far as the successful filtered alcohol that went through before they broke they worked great. The filtered alcohol was clean as new, but these are definitely intended to be water filters. Just though i’d share my results so that anyone else who is thinking of using these particular filters will know ahead of time that they dont work for alcohol. The filters themselves are of very high quality though and i would recommend them for WATER filtration only for sure!

I bought 5 of these. I soaked the filter as instructed. The water is literally filtering through one drop at a time. At this rate it will take a year to fill a 3 gallon bucket. My water is very clean well water and I previously used the Zero water filter for quite some time but wanted to switch it up to a larger container. This filter doesn't work at all for me. That was my initial review. I continued to use the filter. It is slow. I built a system with a 3 gallon square container on top of a 5 gallon rectangular bucket on the bottom with a flip open spigot and with the filter between the two buckets. Although the filter is slow, I filled the top container until my bottom container was full which took a couple of days. I usually only use 1-2 gallons a day for two persons and 2 medium dogs. I now had plenty of water. Each evening, I take my faucet sprayer and fill the top bucket accordingly and keep my bottom bucket somewhat full. I am giving the filter a 5 star due to it works as described and I will continue to purchase and use these filters.

Doesn't change flavor. Terrible replacement for quality filters. Going in the trash and wasted my money. Will be buying the name brand filters from now on after experimenting with too many of these garbage filters.

My water supplier is from Cleveland Water in Ohio. Without doing actual lab testing this review is an opinion, nothing more. I made a berkey style filtration system using two twelve quart stock pots from walmart, a spigot from amazon and the filters from amazon. I used one filter, so it takes about an hour to filter one quart of water. I had to run twenty four quarts through the filter to flush it, after that the water tasted great. It completely removes any chemical tastes from the water, including the chlorine taste that is worse towards the end of summer.

these really are the worst filters i have ever used. the filter leaves a residue of black in the filtered water (used correctly and long after first filtration process completed) Not only does the filtered water smell like chemicals, it tastes like it too! i have used filters for many years so not new to them or how to use, I will not buy these again and would suggest this company ups their game to produce a better quality product.There is enough chemicals in tap water without these 'filters' adding more! if you value your health, steer clear. total waste of money!
