I'm in search of an incense holder without issues with ash fall out etc. I have others (4) that didn't prevent that. Is this a good one to buy?

The ash falls into the cup. It’s fairly easy to clean. The top piece that it holder can sometimes be a little awkward but this holder did great with ash. Recommended

Does the incense burn quicker hangiing upside down?

Yes, it does. In fact it’s been studied and it will burn close to 25% faster. As someone who burns incense daily, I would avoid anything like this.
