I have used trustella for years. Everyone close to me knows about trustella. It is super easy to use and very secure. When I lived on my own, trustella was the only thing that allowed me to sleep peacefully. I couldn’t recommend it more. It’s also great for travel!

Little gadget that makes me feel safer and does actually prevent someone from trying to open your door with a normal to mild bit of effort. I don’t know how it would stand against more determined efforts, but hopefully I never find out. Has the nice padding to prevent paint damage on the wall or molding.

This is a great tool for providing an extra layer of protection from intruders, especially for a single female! My door has a lot of give when locked, so I was concerned that it could be knocked down relatively easily. When I put this lock on, the door barely moves at all when someone is trying to open it. It is much more secure. My father even tried to use force and knock his shoulder into the door while trying to open it, and it still barely moved. It would definitely make it a lot harder for a thief to break in. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is due to the fact that it does leave a small impression in the wood on the door frame. Due to the force of the lock, it has widened the gap between my door and door frame probably about 1.5-2 centimeters. This makes it slightly easier for pests to get it. However, it is very hard to find a good quality lock that is overall renter-friendly, so I would still say that this one is worth it. Great for girls (or guys too) in college!

I love this! The extra layer of protection literally gives me an extra peace of mind. It has held up great I do wish the rubber ends were thicker but it wouldn’t deter me from purchasing again.

Seems great, but it does not allow my door to close because of how my door frame is shaped. Basically, unless you have a straight door frame with no crown molding, or irregular shaping in general, it's not going to fit in your door won't be able to close.

My door's situation was not like any shown, but it still worked. Outer metal lip exceeds the casing by a lot to the point it is exceptional. I wasn't sure even if the extention on the item would be far enough out. Make sure you look at how the item is set up as its not apparent as to the reason why until you try to install it yourself. There is a video, I highly suggest you watch it although the lock appears to be straightforward. I will be using this on my own apartment main door that opens to a hallway as we have had breakins. Also, if you feel that maintenance or property management is unlawfully entering your home, this works well. I will buy a 2nd one for traveling and safety. It is well made and I had someone try to force the door open once they used the key and they couldn't get in. Travelability: Small and easy to keep on your person even while out and about. Safety: Easy to remove in case of fire. Fit: I knew it would fit because I can see light from the hallway. Color: Its a portable lock, if you care about the color and not the safety, then your priorities are off. It's all metal or some sort of alloy. Two bolts you can adjust to fit the door and it's frame. Align the end slat into the door latch plate and twist, slight force is need while pulling back, screw the bolts so there is tension. Then push the door so there is a complete contact of the latch mechanism to the door latch then tighten even more. I didn't use it on a deadbolt but it should be the same utilization. Easy peezy. I yanked on the door as hard as I could even while twisting the knob open emulating a picked lock. Works but I did not go outside to drop kick the door. A 40lb sledge will definitely take care of this thing no doubt but I am locking out the pesky unwanted. If you are using this for a hotel room, I highly suggest for your own safety, to stay at a better hotel. Blah blah blah kept me safe in a hotel room. Oh give me a break. Hotels without a cctv and keycard room access is rare these days. The slip of someone going anywhere past the front desk is alwaysb possible. Even those supposed 2 star hotels in France which makes a hojo or motel 8 seem like luxury. Square pillows? Is that not a couch cushion? Never understood europe for that one. There are deadbolts and latches on the door use them. I have never stayed at one without them. Are you telling me this thing is stronger than a deadbolt installed correctly on an commercial door? Smh you can always use the hotel's heavy chairs to barricade yourself in or bring your barricade brackets with a small screw gun and putty for the holes. Any art store for watercolor to match the paint and a hardware store for a 2x4. Voila ...🤦‍♂️

Works super well on 90% of most doors and very sturdy. Feel so much safer with it while traveling. It’s simple to install and very lightweight. Must be an inward swinging door. It usually fits the door; old or new. I’m glad I bought it even if it doesn’t fit some doors. Recommend.

So handy and can take it anywhere - feels really secure when installed. Did not do any damage to my door frame either. Simple place, spin on the butterfly nut. Great idea!
