Presto 04867 PopLite® Plus hot air popper

And you may ask yourself... 'why would i spend $100 on a popcorn maker' well.. i have to say this is way better than our old one. faster, i like the on off switch. tried it with 3 diff popcorns. 1. Orville Red ( worked best but Orville is American so boycotting him for now) 2. PC purple popcorn. Very good. some kernels.. not the machines fault 3. Uncle Bobs CANADIAN popcorn. worked great. big kernels. no burning I'd recommend even just to rid yourself of your old crappy maker.. this is faster , light and really impressed.

This popcorn machine pops super fast! less than 30 seconds. Warning that the plastic top does get very hot and can melt. Ours unfortunately melted inward and bubbled a bit when it was left unattended and still running, so the heat got too hot. But honestly a great popcorn machine and you get popcorn super fast.

Just bought the Presto Poplite Plus (solid Aqua with the power button) and have used it twice so far. Works great. Pour in the butter/scoop full as instructed then turn the machine on. Pops popcorn and there are maybe a dozen un-popped kernels at most. I’ve only had 2 un-popped kernels come out of the machine and into the bowl in the 2 full batches I’ve made. No burnt popcorn, pops popcorn in a few minutes, doesn't require oil, easy to clean, compact size, is loads of fun to watch! I highly recommend. So much better than the microwave popcorn bags The plastic cover and butter melter do get quite warm so I can see how people would be melting the cover and butter dish if they preheat the machine or run it consecutively and don’t give the machine time to cool down between batches.

I am a popcorn lover and my machine broke a few months ago. I have tried THREE other machines before this and they were all terrible. This one actually pops most of the kernels, is a normal degree of “loud”, and the popcorn is so soft and delicious! Plus the machine itself is super sturdy and cute! Highly recommend.

Initial impressions are fairly positive for this popper. For 80 dollars the fit and finish of the plastics could be better, i noticed it was a bit loose along the bottom. For an air popper though it is fairly quiet and pops quick. I like that it has a pretty tall chute so the number of kernels that get blown out are minimal. Really wish the fit and finish were a bit nicer, but the little off with my popper arnt really enough that I would say its worth exchanging, but we will see with use. Ill update this review down the road after ive had some time to break it in and put it through its paces
