I ordered this when I was planning on getting a parrotlets but now I'm getting a lovebird. Can they still eat this?

I can't see why not. Although you may want to Google diets for Lovebirds. I think they like a lot of fresh fruit which I had trouble getting my Parrotlets to eat. BTW, I've had two of these lovely little companions. The first we had almost 12 years; the 2nd we lost in July this year after 5 years. I miss both of them; I've had birds all my life. No doubt we'll find another, I'm just not ready.

Does this seed have any type of sugar or food coloring?

Yes, it has orange food coloring. We stopped using it because it can cause cancer. We switched to Goldenfeast for small hookbills. No food coloring, organic and no peanuts.

What are the ingredients in this feed??

The ingredients are in order of volume: Safflower seed, white proso millet, cracked corn, oat groats, canary grass seed, barley, sunflower seed, black oil sunflower, kibbled corn, dehydrated green peas, orange oat groats, peanuts, carrots, hemp seed, peppers, orange oil (used as a natural preservative), safflower oil and spinach flakes.Crude protein is not less than 13.5%m crude fiber 11.5%, crude fat 19.5%, ash not more than 3.25%.Hope this helps

Has anyone had success feeding this to their parakeets?

We feed it to our parrotlet. He seems to like it, a budgie should be fine with it.

Great parrotlet food

My parrotlet loves this food. He clears his bowl daily and leaves no waste. Parrotlet food is difficult to get in the UK, so I was very happy to find this food. Great price for a decent sized bag.
