Lychee Popping Boba 17.2 oz

10/10 great for cocktails/mocktails!! So yummy

These lychee popping boba are bursting with flavor, literally!! I honestly like these better than the tapioca boba pearls as it is ready to use, filled with flavorful fruit juice, less sugar and carbs than the original, which for me after awhile takes too much work to have to chew after every sip. Be aware that once the container is open, the liquid in there tends to leak if you tip the container and don't keep it flat removing it from the fridge. Hope they upgrade to containers with a better seal as you don't want to waste a drop of the sweet liquid that gives plain iced teas an extra boost of sweetness and flavor.

These don't really "pop" so much as disintegrate. By the time they make their way up the straw and into your mouth, the vast bulk have already popped on the journey and are nothing more than the flimsy film that once formed the bubble. It feels like plastic cling wrap and gets stuck in my molars. Very unpleasant. There's a slight lychee taste, but not much of one. All things considered, I can't recommend these and won't buy them again. UPDATE: After writing this review, I noticed my straw was too narrow for the pearls, so it was user error! I upped the rating from 2 to 4 stars. I'm still pretty displeased with the flavor, but the texture is fine if you use a big enough straw. FURTHER UPDATE: I'm obviously a total amateur when it comes to this. After ordering a couple of 1/2" stainless steel straws on Amazon, I see now that these are actually very flavorful. It's just that my old straw was causing the liquid to get diluted in the mouthful of tea. You can get a pair of big, half-inch straws for less than $5, and I definitely recommend doing that if you want to experience this product to the fullest extent. I know half an inch feels huge, but it's perfectly fine.

OH MY GOSH the lychee bubbles are actually so good. They’re super juicy and not too sweet, and they make any drink feel fancy. I threw them in some iced tea and it was giving boba shop vibes at home. Honestly shocked how good they are for being store-bought. Will definitely be keeping these stocked.
