Locking + Coconut Curls Decadent Creamy Mousse, 7.9 Ounce

I discovered this mousse after they stopped selling Got2B Kinkier in the US (found it it in Germany over the summer tho. Whassup?). Coconut Curls is an acceptable substitute. I did have a problem once with a spout breaking off in delivery, but Amazon customer service (human agent via phone) refunded me once I sent them a pic of the broken spout. The product has a nice scent, works well to define curls, brings a shine and softness without being too crunchy. 10/10 - even though Got2B Kinkier is still better IMHO.

My hair has a large ringlet curl pattern and this is my tried and true product. Great frizz control, no hard cast on the hair but holds well. I rinse hair in the shower upside down, comb with a wide-tooth comb, and scrunch out as much water as I can. While still upside down, I scrunch in a large amount of mousse. Repeat x2-3, still upside down in the shower. I plop with a microfiber towel, finish getting ready, then diffuse for 5-10 minutes to help hold the curls. This routine has been my go-to for years and gives me good curl pattern, volume, hold, and takes 15 minutes start to finish.

It does smell good, but it's extremely strong and too overpowering of a scent to use regularly. I have to mix it with other brands to tone it down a notch. Otherwise, the hold and look are good for my curly hair. I like the bottle dispenser tip.

This is my new go-to since Sun Bum discontinued their Whipped Mousse. I have tried so many different "dupes", even another Sun Bum product, but this is the closest thing I've found. My hair is on the thinner side, and I have wavy curls that are either hard to tame or flat, depending on the humidity. This keeps them soft (not crunchy) and well-moisturized without being heavy. The scent is light; I don't particularly smell the coconut, it just smells clean. Thank you, OGX, for an affordable product that works far better than many of the salon products I've tried!

Ok - let's chat about this mousse. Seriously. I use a LOT of mousse. My hair is mid to lower back, uncut, permed. Every time I wash it, of course, it has to have a LOT of product. I've used many different types of mousse that I have really loved; I usually prefer a lighter mousse. This is not that. But the price and reviews made me look twice. Mousse is expensive, usually, and since I use a lot, it runs into more than I care to spend. Enter this mousse. It's thick. REALLY thick. It comes out liquidy, and you have to wait just a second and then it magically turns into this thick, soft creme. The smell is good, but not overpowering, and believe me, I HATE strong smells, or smells that linger, and this is not that way. My biggest take away from using it so far - I'm still on my first can - is DO NOT USE TOO MUCH! I tend to scrunch and scrunch and scrunch hoping I'm using enough to make it stay good for a few days. With the lighter mousses, I think you have to use a good bit, and I've always liked that I don't really "feel" the mousse. With this one, it's almost like it's too much, which is why I say don't use a lot, initially - which is actually really good, because the less you use, the less expense. If you'll watch how much you use (and just scrunch with a towel if you feel you got too much) it will dry perfectly and your hair will be gorgeous. They definitely have a customer for life!

I've used this Moose for a few years now but it's becoming harder & harder to find on my local store shelves. It's tough enough to hold my hair in place all day, but has a fruity coconut scent you can't miss. Best of all it doesn't leave that white sticky residue that some hair styling products are well known for! Decided to order off of Amazon since I was almost out. Price was decent, shipping was fast. But once I opened up the box to my surprise the top nozzle was broken off laying beside the bottle of moose. The cap that covers the nozzle was laying on opposite side. I thought at first it was packed by shipping like this, expecting the customer to just reapply nozzle. That's when I noticed, no it was actually broken off. There was zero damage done to the box itself, so damage didn't happen during shipping. I contacted Amazon Customer service and item was non-refundable. So I was offered a refund, without any hesitation. Even though I really really would had preferred to have recieved this product in working order (since there's a shortage). I do appreciate that Amazon was able to correct this issue with me without being put through the ringer.👏👏 Highly recommend this hair product for all hair types. Strong enough for tight curls, or to add waves to thick straight hair. But Gentle enough to add volume to softer, thinner hair types. 5 stars⭐ for customer service 5 stars ⭐for this particular hair product 1 star⭐ for recieving a faulty product via Amazon

First time using this mousse and I love it. Makes my hair look so defined and not crunchy. Decent size for price as well.

I really like this mousse. It does not dry out my hair… and it smells good. I have naturally curly hair so I fight to tame what could be frizz. Once it dries, I scrunch it a bit to soften it up and it holds definition. I will order again (it’s hard to find locally, in stores, in stock!)

Not what I expected

comes out as oil. Not a mousse. So expensive for a faulty product and so disappointing

Smells amazing, but the aerosol came damaged, so when used it comes out as a liquid gel, not mouse.

This mousse does have a nice creamy texture but where's the lovely coconut smell?? Not in this mousse. Plus the piece you press on to have the mousse squirt out is really stiff - this old bird has to use two thumbs, one on top of the other to get it to come out. Not worth the price and won't be buying again.
