For some reason, I thought there would be a tray so that the veggies would sit above the water.But it works great and it steamed them and they were delicious. Slots on top make draining off water easy and safe.

We use this microwave cookware almost every night, and it has quickly become one of the most reliable tools in our kitchen. It does an excellent job steaming a variety of vegetables—from broccoli and green beans to asparagus—always coming out perfectly cooked. We’ve also used it as a rice cooker, and it handles that just as well, producing fluffy, evenly cooked rice every time. One of the things we appreciate most is how easy it is to clean. Nothing sticks, and it rinses out quickly, which makes it even more convenient for busy weeknights. It’s also foolproof—our kids use it regularly and can cook with it just as easily as we can. This cookware is sturdy, practical, and has more than earned its place in our daily routine. Highly recommend for any household looking for quick, healthy cooking with minimal cleanup.

This microwave steamer is very versatile. With ample vents on the lid, you can cook/reheat anything without the contents spilling over; it's not just for steaming vegetables. It's great for rice, oatmeal, and ramen, too. The bowl is very sturdy and well-made, with handles for ease of carrying to and from the microwave. The lid has handles, too, which line up with the bowl's handles when properly latched. With practice, you'll find that the lid "latches" easily. You simply line up the latches on the bowl and lid, then use your thumbs to push the lid in place. That's easier than using the handle on the top of the lid. Though I think this is overpriced, I decided to get it because it's not easy to find individual pieces of microwave cookware like this. Glassware is always readily available, but I like plastic, and most of what's available in plastic are storage containers, which are not microwave safe--those containers and lids warp, spots can melt, and they can leech chemicals into the food. So I was happy to get this despite the price. It's worth it.

This microwave rice cooker works great! I had to prepare two trays of rice for a potluck event, which is a lot of rice! This pot produced three cups of rice perfectly cooked! Sometimes with microwave rice, the oven gets so hot it shuts off. Not with this pot! I cooked three consecutive full pots with no overheating at all! So worth the price!

I like it! Haven’t used it yet! I’m glad that I got it now I can cook things in the microwave without using plastic wrap for a lid! The size is a little smaller than I thought because I had the pamper chef one! I realize that the pamper chef one was a 5 qt pot, so this streamer/cooker will work for two people! Easy to use, size will work! Sturdiness!

This is, hands down, a life saver. The materials are superb quality, I have used it countless times and thrown both the base and the lid into my dishwasher with no issues. I have found that I can cook one cup of rice with two cups of water for 5 minutes on high, and then 15 minutes on power level and I get perfect rice every single time. I have also used this for cooking vegetables, pasta and ground beef in the microwave. The lid makes it so easy to drain as well. I'm going to get the smaller size because I'm so impressed by this item. It stores easily and washes out leaving no residue.

This microwave cookware works great. It appears to be well made. I really like the latching top, it stays firmly in place.

Love this dish.. it actually works and is marvelous for the microwave.. gong to buy another one ...WOW..
