This stuff is soooooo good. I know it is still oil and still has fat – but much healthier than butter – and better than most other stuff out there too. I couldn’t believe that these giant jars were less tan 10 bucks each as usually a smaller jar is easily this same cost – or even more. So, I stocked up and bought a few – and even got some to give to friends and family – as I love this that much! It REALY does have a REAL butter flavor to it. Not sure how they do it – but this product is Vegan which is what I strive for in my life. I love to spread it on warm toast and bread. I need it melted in so either the bread has to be warm or I top the bread with a schmear and then pop in the microwave for a few seconds to get it truly melted. It literally melts in just a few seconds too – so that is neat. I mean I guess if your kitchen or house is very warm or hot or it is Summer it may be melted already. Otherwise just put it on warm stuff – or heat first. A little goes a loooooong way on bread, I have found. Now with popcorn – I find myself being heavier with this than I do on bread – but probably use way less than I would of melted butter or something else. I also definitely need salt on popcorn with this or the butter flavor just does not pop. I do not need to add salt when used on other stuff – but popcorn – totally. I just melt a little in the microwave and pour it over popcorn. You don’t even need it to get hot or warm to melt – just heated until it is a liquid and no longer solid. That is also better than using melted butter as that being hot shrinks your popcorn and really saturates it. This just lays on it and tastes delicious! So TOTALLY recommend this stuff! This a great product..It only take a small amount to spread it on warm toast. It tastes great. I can't use it right now but hope to in the future. I am on an Auto Immune Protocol elimination diet and cannot eat anything from seeds because of the phytic acid and lectins which may be a trigger for inflammation. The coloring used in this product is a natural product from a seed. Like i said, I hope to be able to use this product in the future. If you are looking for a good plant based flavor spread, this could be a great option

I ordered the 2 quantity selection and it was shipped in protective cartons in an original Nutiva box and an Amazon box. Jars arrived perfect and unscathed. I haven't had butter for years but this stuff is good! It gives that buttery flavor that was missed but without animal fat. I'll have to remeber to partake in moderation. It still can rise my cholesterol. Used to cook popcorn and bake macadamia cookies.

This vegan shelf-stable butter in a glass jar is really good for cooking and baking. It spreads easily, stores well without needing refrigeration, and works nicely in recipes where you want a buttery texture. However, the taste isn’t very desirable on its own, so it’s not something you’d really enjoy eating plain. It’s best used as an ingredient rather than a standalone spread. Overall, very practical and useful, even if the flavor alone isn’t its strongest point.

I got this for my stovetop popcorn maker. Helps to make the popcorn taste delicious just like you get at the movie theater. The cost and the taste were so much better than those small bottles you can buy at the grocery store of flavored oils. I liked that this was coconut oil.

Wow. I had no idea what to expect and some of the reviews had me a bit uncertain, but WOW--this stuff is amazing. I tend to use grass-fed butter or ghee (Ancient Organics) but always like to have a dairy alternative on hand to use for cooking and baking, or when one of us in the family has a bug and we avoid dairy, so I took the two jar plunge. And it was worth it! This magical goodness tastes like ghee but almost better, because it has that yummy, subtle coconut oil undertone. (Not overpowering at all.) What a dream! It's delicious. My daughter had a nasty upper respiratory infection last week and I substituted it for everything I'd normally use butter or ghee for--scrambled eggs, toast, sautéing, baking, frying, you name it--and everyone loved it. This is the REAL "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" for health-conscious folks. (And tastes 10x better.) And organic--and shelf stable? Like winning the lottery to stumble on this yummy, good-for-you creation. (And haven't seen it in stores.) Although still solid, it had settled and the more buttery colored part had separated a bit when it arrived, as if the jars had been stored sideways, which was a bit of a puzzle...but I left it on top of the toaster oven (accidentally lol) and it softened and melted somewhat, so I carefully stirred it and now it's back to a balanced consistency. This oil is great for making popcorn. It’s not quite as rich as butter, but is a nice substitute for it in certain dishes, like for a baked potato or sweet potato or using it for sautéing meat instead of another kind of unhealthy oil.

A little goes a long way. The buttery flavor is excellent.
