I bought this as a gift and was just what I was looking for.. the gift was received well and suited the recipient well who is a lover of inspiring quotes and art!

I read an earlier version of this book in a library and had to buy it. The art is beautiful and true to it's match with the selected poetry and quotes. I absolutely love this book!

This is a beautiful little book, with the emphasis on little. I have seen Massoudy's work for real and reproduced in coffee table book format (48 x 38 cms approx hard back) and it is so much more exciting when the small to tiny details of his calligraphy can be appreciated.But, I have given this little version to a friend who loves it having not seen the larger versions, so it must work well enough.

The book shows some really nice samples of calligraphy-painting.I enjoyed it a lot and it's probably the best of its kind.

Le livre m'a un peu surpris par sa petite taille, contrairement aux autres livres que j'ai d'Hassam Massoudy. Donc j'ai été un peu déçue.La calligraphie reste de qualité et rafraichissante.

I have purchased this book three times now - it makes such a perfect gift. Each page has a line of poetry or two, with Hassan Massoudy's characteristic sweeping painted calligraphy on the opposite page. Each painting evokes some visual aspect of the poetry - whether a tree, a seed, water, a flower, or storm. The illustrations are so vibrant (beautifully printed) and add new dimension and meaning to the verses. You can get a preview of Massoudy's art on his website, many of those on his galleries online that depict lines of poetry about nature are in this very book. It's the perfect kind of book to pick up any time of day when you are feeling contemplative or want to be inspired - you can open it up to any page and get lost in the words/art, a discover a new appreciation for the nature. This book is available in a larger size, but I feel like the experience is much richer in this compact book.
