As a child, I grew up going to Florida every spring break with my family. Once I was an adult, it became very rare for me to lay eyes on a beach in person, but I missed it terribly.A few years ago, I learned that the majority of Americans live within an hour of the coast, so why couldn't I? I have always been at least four to five hours away, which made it almost impossible for me to plan trips, especially with financial and animal companion responsibilities muddying the waters.To remedy this heartbreaking lifestyle situation, I started to do some serious research, and found a place to live just an hour away from a beach! Not only was the home itself ideal for me, but so was the price, and the location couldn't be better (unless I lived in a beach house, which will never happen in this lifetime).After a whole lot of effort, and some really tight budgeting to save up for all the costs of relocating, I managed to make the great exodus to the coast this past Autumn.Now, I am a lazy afternoon drive away from what my childhood self never believed possible.When I saw this seagull sign, I wanted it to be in my home to remind me that no matter what life throws my way from here on out, I already managed to do the impossible. I am stronger than I think, I am more capable than I tend to believe, and by golly I like french fries!Never stop dreaming, never give up on your life goals, and never toss actual french fries to seagulls because they will swarm down upon you like a biblical plague.Good luck in your own life endeavors!
