Mattel brings Uno to another level with Uno Ultimate. Finally something significantly different after 50 years! This game has a food packaging and rich contents for $14.99 (retail price at launch), it's definitely a cool addon for anyone who likes Uno. My only complaint is the introduction of blind pack of "chase foil cards". There are five level of rarity and it's kinda lucky draw what you'll be getting. For my package i got 1 common, 2 uncommon and 1 rare. Refer to the photo for the 5 rarity levels. Meanwhile these foil cards are from the Uno Ultimate deck and they have a better design than normal ones on top of the blinging foil feature. I just hope Mattel won't goto the path of selling blind packs which is hard for collectors especially international buyers like me.

As long as you know how to play Uno, you know most of how to play Marvel Ultimate Uno. It's a layer of strategy on top of a regular Uno game. Also, since each player uses a character specific deck to play, you can play with more than the 2-4 players listed on the base box (there are now 2 base boxes - 2022 & 2023 - each with 4 different characters) combined with 6 current add-on characters you can purchase separately you could play a game with players from 2 -14. Each character plays differently and their cards are specific to them and their play style. So, even if you never play more then 2-4 player games, you have so many options of characters and play styles to choose from that you should not get bored learning how to play each one well. It's a great concept built on an easy to understand game that can be played and enjoyed by anyone aged 7 to 700!

Such a cool game. The “Ultimate” aspect of Uno is cool but the Marvel characters just make the game way more fun. And that you can collect and play different decks together. Def recommend.

Admittedly, I should have read the description more closely. I’ve bought so many decks of uno cards over theyears that I thought these would be similar, but the game play was different and not liked by the students I bought them for.
