Claim FIVE WEEKS absolutely FREE Review: Brilliant for newbies and intermediates, very customisable! - I am a big fan of Davinas work out DVDs and this one is one of the best. I can no longer go to my 4 gym classes a week due to a new job so this on the go solution is perfect for me. The workouts for this DVD have been designed using the latest seven minute training techniques, short bursts, high energy routines. There are 6 workouts (plus two warm up videos and one cool down video) 1-HIT Workout, 7 mins A high intensity interval training session of short bursts of hard core exercise with each exercise being 20 seconds long before your 10 seconds of rest. Sprints, burped and lunges to name a few. This section will really get your heart pumping! 2-Boxing, 7 mins My personal favourite as I used to love body combat! A session of jabs, hooks and knee crunches to get those bingo wings burning 3-Ultimate Legs, 7 mins The session I absolutely hate and dread but once it's over I feel amazing! Comprising of dead-lifts, squats, lunges, and the dreaded squat holds that will have those legs on fire 4-Body Fat Stripper, 7 mins A mix of cardio and weights to melt the fat - Squat jumps, side steps, dead-lifts, lunges (god I hate lunges) 5-Ultimate Abs, 7mins A mix of crunches and planks to chisel that tummy, (repetitions of 10) you'll definitely feel it as there is very little time to rest in between 6-21 Minute Fitness Challenge. wow. Toughy! Starting with cardio, moving on to focus sing on the core with a mix of crunches you move on to weights (I recommend using 2kg in each hand to get the most out of the workout). press-ups, sit-ups, and the plank are all included. 😫 If I had to be critical, it's slightly annoying that the warm up/cool down sections have to be selected from the main menu before and after you begin. on the plus side, you can chose to combine (I recommend at least 3) any of the 7 workouts to customise your workout depending on time or how you feel that day. The 21 minute workout is brilliant for those days you really can't be bothered navigating round the menu and just want to crack on with a quickie! The tutorials are great for beginners and there are enough sections to mix-and-match your workouts to prevent boredom. The two warm up videos are a nice touch There is even a section that will help you create a workout specific to your needs, the ‘5 Week Planner’, including advising you on rest days. Another great feature for beginners. I would recommend this highly diverse workout DVD to everyone-thank you Davina! Review: Excellent! Just what I needed to get fit after several years of inactivity. - I was hesitant when trying to choose a fitness dvd, especially ones that claim you can get fit in a few weeks. Well in all honesty it is going to take me longer than that! A friend recommended this one and she knows what poor shape I am in so I took the plunge. I actually enjoy the dvd for lots of reasons but it may help people to know how I tackled it: I watched and then practised the tutorials (abs toning is done differently to how I used to do it but it really works and the instruction helps you look after your back). I watched the 2 warm up sessions. I did the 2 warm up sessions. Next I did the 2 warm up sessions but added more reps. This gave me a reasonable workout for someone totally out of shape! When I realised I could do more without over doing it and getting so stiff I would be put off, I moved onto the individual sessions. They are 7 minutes long, concentrate on particular body areas and have an optional 3 minutes if and when you want to. There is a chart inside the dvd label that gives suggested combination of sessions for a 5 week programme. I am following that, almost! Given my bad fitness level at the start I have spread the sessions out a bit more but followed the pattern. I was worried that I would find the instructor and, dare I say it, Davina annoying but they are not at all. They are easy to listen too, the instructions are good, they are encouraging and not cheesy. The 7 minute bursts make it very approachable, iykwim. There is one long session which is great too. After 2 weeks I found that I was happily adding more time to my workout, regularly doing an hour, and anyone who knows me would find that somewhat surprising! Highly recommend this dvd. (I orginially ordered in Nov but had to return as faulty, desertcart dealt with it speedilg and without any fuss and my replacement was sent within 24 hours of reportjng the fault).

Great workout DVD, a good step up from 7 minute fit
This is a very good work out DVD, I have used Davina intense, 15 minute and 7 minute workout. 5 week fit is similar in style and content to 7 minute fit however it is deffinatley more challenging. There is more cardio worked into the routines such as the box fit section which has far more cardio moves incorporated as well the twisting moves. The abs section in 5 week fit is very similar to advance abs on the 7 week fit but it is a great abs section as it targets the lower abs specifically, it's challenging but it's one of the best abs routines I've tried. The 20 minute fitness challenge is great as a quick, challenging, full body work out. The cool down stretch is also very similar; the same stretches are used except done in one slower round rather than 3 short rounds. Overall this is an excellent work out DVD with lots of variety, it deffinatley builds on from 7 minute fit. From experience I would say if you are very unfit start with 7 minute fit and build to 5 week fit. Both together make a great package. If you are looking for something even more challenging 10 minute solutions High Intensity Interval Workout is anouther step up again although it is a different brand and presenter but from a work out point of view can be combined with Davinas for the days you really want to challenge yourself or to work on areas that may be more developed. For me having a choice of different excersises/workouts, warm ups, and cool downs not only stops it from becoming monotonous but if I've had a long day at work I can go for something less intense eg 7 minute fit and when I can push harder I can do the harder ones.

Top of the Pops
First let me say I'm SO glad Davina scrapped the age old purple lighting, 1990s TOTPs style background in this DVD. Finally! Purple is NOT an energising colour and I didn't buy any DVDs of hers for 5 years because of it and rarely played the ones I had. It felt oppressive and soporific. This DVD is pretty intense on places but doable for a beginner with modifications and slowing it down, it'll take you long way towards getting a good fitness base for one DVD with the option later on of doing the whole thing at once if you wish. I own 100s of DVDs and I'd place this on an intensity scale of about 5/10 a 6/10 in places. Two gripes I have. Davina and her trainer cannot do anything to the rhythm of the music, or else the wrong tempo has been chosen. The music (for me) isn't bassy or punchy enough. It's like TOTPs in the 2000s. Cheesy, nasty, boring. To get the energy boost that music has been proven to add to exercising you have to have it at a tempo you can match, one that's just a bit faster than you might go without it but not so fast or slow it puts you off your stride. Fast beats while doing bicep curls doesn't work and damages form. Second gripe is that Davina really should learn how to punch properly. Her trainer doesn't even teach her proper form or punch well himself. If you do a punch in front of you, twist your body slightly so your shoulder isn't straight in front. It looks like she's doing an odd TOTPs in the 1970s dance.

Workouts are good but prefer the older DVDs
Workouts are good, but feels a bit flat compared to the previous videos. I don't know if it's because I got used to the good music and camaraderie of Mark & Jackie in the previous DVDs, but I don't enjoy this video as much as the previous ones. Even though I know every joke or comment on older DVDs they still make me smile as I'm exercising! You don't get that with this one, and when you're tired and finding it hard, sometimes it's that little bit of fun and laughter that keeps you going. Personally, I need a longer warm up than the ones in here to stop my calf and thigh muscles from hurting mid workout (in fact, I have started to do the warm ups from the older videos or my own before getting going on the main workouts). Don't get me wrong, the workouts are good, but there's just something missing.

Great Fun and does get you fit and in shape.
I'm really enjoying this DVD, it's my first ever fitness DVD and I really like the format of it. You get a five week programme which increases as the weeks go on. Before every session there is a warm up which you must do (there is a choice of two), they last about five minutes I think, then you do your session, most of the sessions have a 3 minute booster that you can do after the seven minutes and I have to say I have done the boosters without too much problem, giving a ten minute work out. Some days there are two sessions to do, some three, there is also a 21 minute session that comes up every so often. Although the programme does not indicate it on every day I always do the stretch after as well which takes another 5 minutes or so. Ed is a great trainer, Davina is fun and middle of week three and I am still going strong. Love it so much have bought some of her other DVD's and both cook books. I find all the sessions with the exception of the abs really good fun to do, abs is a killer and I'm not going to lie that I can't quite manage every rep yet, but the rest I can cope with. It has changed my shape loads and I feel better generally. I walk five miles every day with the dog but wanted to get some different exercise in and this suits me as I can do it at home. Would really recommend.

Ed and Davina save the day again!
I’m a Cindy Crawford devotee and have been for 20 years! But I was bought this for Christmas for ‘a bit of a change’ along with Davina 7 minute fit. And I’m hooked. I always like to do approximately 40 mins of excersise per session 3 times a week (what’s the point of getting into gym clothes for anything less?). And I like a full-body workout. So I do the warm up, one of the cardio sections, the legs, the tone section for arms (full body fat stripper is the only section I can find using weights), abs, and the stretch (approx 42 mins or so?). My chosen combo makes for a great total-body routine. The 21 min fitness challenge looks interesting, but it’s too short a workout for me. But you chose what suits you. Also, ignore the negative stuff said about Ed and Davina’s chemistry - I was also bought 2 DVDs this Christmas with Mark and Jackie Wren as the instructors, and they irritate me intensely, so I’m selling those DVDs (plus I feel Ed is a far supierior coach). On a negative, Davina, please do something about the long and boring disclaimer next time! You can’t skip through it and I’ve heard it a g’million times! So to summarise, I’ll never give up my Cindy Crawfords, but it’s great to mix it up with Davina and Ed too!

Step up from 7 minute fit
Love it a real step up from 7 minute fit. Yes it does lack banter like her ones with mark and jackie but quite honestly if your using it 4-5 times a week over the next year the same jokes can become rather tiresome for some. I loved her old dvds but love this just as much. Yes it's different from Mark and Jackie but it's as well thought out with tutorials which really help for form and constant reminders of this throughout.you can make it as hard or easy as you like add some wrist and ankle weights if need be. Love the hiit section and the leg one is a killer the 21 minute fitness challenge is great I think these are my favourite oh and the stretch is lovely . abs section really burns and can feel this today. Enjoyed box fit and I usually hate these as I have a lack of coordination but this is easy to follow have yet to try fat stripper. I think the planner in the dvd is a great idea have yet to try her Website all in all a fab fitness dvd

New Year's resolution
I haven't tried this yet as I'm recovering from 'flu but I can't wait to get started on another Davina video. This one's got to get me into shape after Christmas and New Year over-eating.
