Definitely worth 5 stars. No need to keep looking at different products and more reviews. This projector is for you. I also own an high end projector and this one the P62 gives it a run for its money. It is very good. At first I purchased the cheaper P61 for £75 after discounts but after one day I returned it. It was just too dim, sometimes washed out, other times over saturated plus gaming was not good on it but for the price that was an reasonable projector. I got a refund on the P61 and straight away ordered the P62. I got it for £155 after discounts. So double the price of the P61. Wow it is definitely worth the money. I love the design, it’s light weight, feature packed, very quiet, does not get too warm. The fan does not blow too much, it has keystone correction so you can adjust the shape of the picture to fit your screen if you are unable to get your projector centre of your viewing area. If you purchase one without keystone correction and your projector is not centre of the viewing area you will soon find out the hard way what I mean about the shape of your image on the screen. Instead of viewing an long rectangular envelope viewing area, it will look like someone squashed one end of your rectangle and you cannot do anything about it. With the P62 you can correct the image. It was so easy to set up. Straight out of box. Pressed start and instantly had an image. No time needed to warm the lamp up. Digital focusing is so nice. Press a button and it will focus for you. It’s so easy. I have it set up in my conservatory. I have a glass beaded screen 120”. It was about 6pm on a clear sunny day and I could not believe I actually had an visible image on the screen in that kind of brightness and from an £155 projector. It was as bright as my high end Optima projector is in daylight. As soon as it got dark, wow what an picture! Yes it is very good. So much brighter than the P61. The picture never looks washed out and I don’t think it looks saturated either. I am getting about an 100” size image from 11’ away. The projector is placed to one side of my viewing area, not dead centre and the keystone correction worked a treat. The picture does not look blurred at the edges or anything after correction. The only thing I do notice is the contrast is not as sharp as my 10 year old Optima but on some scenes it looked crystal clear. It could be my internet connection via the fire stick or the fire stick itself. I have just ordered the latest fire stick to upgrade that as well to make the image even better. Overall I would not worry about the contrast as it is very good, you will be pleased with it. I was just comparing it to a high end projector. The P62 instantly connected to my Wi-Fi network with no issues then it connected to my JBL 310 Partybox Bluetooth speaker without any issues. The P61 would not connect to either of these devices. The quick start guide is so good and easy to understand. The company offers the user all kinds of ways to help you if you have issues. Another good feature is the projector lens comes with a free dust cap. I never got one of those free before. Always had to buy them. Another bonus is the quality back pack that comes with it. Pop that over your shoulder, take it on holiday, plug it in and project the image on a wall or hang a sheet outside and you have a cinema on holiday with a bottle of wine. Connect it to a Bluetooth speaker or even an portable 240v small battery pack and you have an totally portable solution for camping etc. There are options to change the picture but I like the standard setting. You can also change the sound. I changed it to the Movie setting. You have 2 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, AV port, Headphone port. An screw at the front underneath to turn to point your projector up higher or lower at the front when on a flat surface or you can mount it via the tripod screw thread mount underneath. You can flip your projector upside down from the ceiling and in the menu flip the image the other way so you can view it normally. There are so many options, they have thought of everything. It does a lot more than my Optima projector. The remote is very slick. It looks a bit like a fire stick remote but better quality and nicer more like an apple product. So glad I upgraded to the P62. I am keeping this one. Try it for yourself, if you are not completely satisfied, the returns procedure was very easy and trouble free. As soon as I dropped the P61 off at the drop off point, the refund had already been approved and I ordered this unit the P62 and it arrived the next day. Even the pictures from the Blu ray discs via the Xbox looked very bright and gaming was an better experience on the P62. I can highly recommend this feature packed inexpensive projector!

I am pleased with this projector which is my first for the home, so I cannot compare it with high end projectors. Setup was easy enough, you need to enter your WiFi password for network wireless casting and software updates (mine was already up to date). Firstly the picture is clear (I used a decent proper screen for the image) and finds focus automatically pretty easily. Contrast is good (though not as impressive as on a modern TV panel with its deep blacks (which no reflective screen would ever achieve) but not too disimilar from the experience of a small cinema. The lens can operate with a short or longer throw (magnification) so if your room isnt very long the picture can still fill a screen. The recommended distance to the projector is given as between 2 and three metres for best results. Looking at YouTube and iPlayer via IOS cast, the results are good. Be forewarned that some media companies such as Amazon Prime have recently blocked the ability to cast wirelessly from their apps to similar projectors, by stopping screen mirroring. Fortunately there are other ways such as using a cheap Amazon Firestick or any route through the HDMI A/V wired inputs. Better then with a set top box, Apple TV, or Amazon Firestick. The true resolution can be up to 1080P (ignore all references for this machine to 4K beyond the fact it will accept and then reduce such an input -that is what 4K compatibility seems to mean but references to a higher resolution still remain perhaps to confuse buyers.). I tried a moody screening of The Batman from Amazon Prime… but gloomy shadowy films are not going to be particularly impressive. Even in the cinema you might be irritated by the chosen lack of contrast in Batman! A vibrant bit of editing such as Paddington 2 or most live TV was more easy on the eye. Even with some daylight in the room the screen could be watched just fine, though a dark room brings out the most enjoyable experience. The internal speaker sound is clear but thin, emphasising speech and other treble frequencies. An audio out from the projector to your better speakers or soundbar is provided via a mini jack adapter rather than onboard output phono sockets. Supply your own long audio cables for that solution. Many would do what I prefer and take audio from the source dvd player etc to speakers by the screen, but with an amazon firestick in the projector (it has a 2 HDMI sockets) you might be tempted by the av out adapter.. Otherwise I think there is a Bluetooth audio connection - that I still haven’t tried myself. The cooling fan is not too loud in the projector, at least in a medium room temperature. The supplied cable lengths for mains, hdmi and av are all somewhat miserly, perhaps only slightly over a metre in length. As soon as anyone mounts the projector on a tripod or ceiling/wall these will all have to be replaced with extensions or much longer ones. The unearthed mains lead particularly irritated me as it barely reaches my socket for any situation beyond an initial test. The projector is nice and lightweight and has four mounting screw holes for a ceiling or wall bracket mount. If on a table a tilt can be achieved with a simple adjustable screw at the front underneath. The projector can also attach to a microphone stand that has a single central screw fitting. The most generous feature (beyond getting a very good discount) is the carrying bag included in the box which even has room for cables. This welcome inclusion is astonishingly rare for media equipment at any price! You will be able to take this projector from room to room, to work or to a friend’s with ease and safety. Conversely what would it cost the manufacturer to include the required single cheap AAA battery for the remote? ! At least the projector can be used without the remote by using buttons on the top, if you temporarily need to. Overall the projector was a good buy, and you may well plan to get a large projection screen (84 -120 inch diagonal) to make the most of it. Painting a flat wall white is said to be a good idea too. If you wish the projector can be used on a smaller screen. I tried a 50 inch portable projection screen with good results. The quick start manual was ok. The multi language downloadable full manual is better except that in the English section at least it has misprints and misplaced images towards the end so could do with a thorough edit.

Great value 1080p projector. I use it to project on a white painted wall 145cm wide x 258cm high and have the projector mounted on top of a 4 block Ikea Kallax unit so it is 1.45m from the ground and 3.8m away from the wall. Which is the equivalent of a 120 inch display. I use it with a PS5, Xbox Series S, Laptop and a Sky Q mini (via HDMI switcher for 3 of them), I also feed the audio out from the projector via the 3.5mm jack to a stereo amp and speakers. The autofocus works great and the picture zoom (95% horizontal and vertical) allows me to fit the image to the wall space perfectly for my room. Due to the size of the output I sit around 3m from the projected image and at 1080p it is crisp enough for me to game in comfort (I am not a sit in front of a monitor person) and great for watching TV and movies. I have a large window on the wall adjacent to the projector so use a set of curtains with blackout lining which keeps the sunlight out and helps maintain a very bright projector image. It can be viewed during the day with the curtains open but is nowhere near as vibrant. I haven't tested the wireless capability of the projector as all of my stuff is directly connected. Overall the Wimius P62 projector is good value for money (for less than £150) and works great in my setup.

In an attempt to give me a little more space in my bedroom I decided to get rid of my TV and stand and get a projector instead. I did not want to spend a fortune on one as my needs are fairly simple so opted for this Wimius P62 after doing a little research and reading a number of reviews. The P62 is of a reasonable size, measuring 25.7 x 20 x 10.3 cm. It has two HDMI ports as well as a USB port so you can view pictures, listen to audio (though I'm not sure why you'd buy a projector for listening to music) and stream video media directly from the device. For connectivity it has both Bluetooth (5.2) and Wi-Fi 6. The interface is fairly basic and you cannot directly use any of the streaming services though the documentation states you can use USB sticks like the Amazon Fire Stick, Google Chromecast or Roku Stick. I have not tried any of those yet as I have an OSMC box (Kodi) connected via HDMI where I can stream my media that I have backed up on my server. I have my P62 on a cheap projector stand I bought and which is situated just over 3 metres away from the wall. The P62 has a standard 1/4 inch mounting screw so there are plenty of options for stands if that is how you want yours set up. There are also screw holes for ceiling mounting. At that distance you do get a rather large screen size though there is a setting where you can shrink the screen size to a minimum of 50% if you so desire. The P62 also has an auto focus option as well as auto keystone. As my projector is static I turned both of those options off after I was happy with the display. Picture quality is pretty good for a device at this price point though it is not perfect, mainly when it comes to faces. I cannot seem to quite get the skin tone right so it can look a little over-white in bright scenes. Other than that it is a surprisingly good picture at night with the room lights off. During the day I have found the picture to look somewhat washed out, even with my blackout curtains closed, but it is still watchable. The sound is not super loud but it is OK. I would suggest pairing some Bluetooth speakers or headphones if you want something a little more immersive. I only have a couple of slight gripes with this device. The first is that the manual shows a number of extra options for picture colour than actually exist. I am assuming some of these settings have been removed with firmware updates. I have raised this with Wimius support but in just over a week since I raised a ticket the only response I have had is an acknowledgement and promise that a technician will contact me. Their initial response was fairly quick though so I will give them the benefit of the doubt for now. My second issue, and this is more likely an Android problem, is that the P62 supports Miracast but it appears a lot of Android devices don't (mine included) so I cannot stream from my phone or tablet. Apple users will probably be OK. I bought this projector on sale so paid just over £150 and at that price I do think it's a bit of a bargain even with the minor picture quality issue and I do think it's worth considering if you want something fairly cheap and cheerful. I have rated this at 5 stars because at this price I was not expecting perfection. Had it been a more expensive item the rating would have been less. [Update] Wimius support did get back to me shortly after I wrote this review and advised that there is an update due in July which will hopefully resolve my issues. They also advised that the manual will be updated at that time.

A great projector. Excellent image quality, even in a room that is not very dark. Easy to navigate, with many ways to connect: mirroring, cables, though I would recommend an amazon firestick (mirroring can have some copyright restrictions on streaming platforms). The sound quality is good and there is also easy bluetooth connection so you can connect a speaker directly to the projector. It is a bit bigger than some projectors, but easy to transport with its case that has straps so can be worn as a backpack. The only criticism I have so far is that the lens does not withdraw automatically into the body of the projector when it is turned off. This means you have to use the remote or buttons to change the focus so that the lens moves back in and you can put the lens protector on, which can be a bit of a faff. Overall though I would definitely recommend this product!
