Guava Powder As Tea: Gritty, Little Essence
My wife grew up with several guava trees in her backyard so I asked for her assistance in reviewing this product. She said she used to climb the tree, twist to pluck the guava fruit from the stem, then eat it... as is. My wife said the guava fruit has tiny seeds that sometimes sticks between her teeth, and the flesh tastes fiber-like, but the fruit was very sweet. She has never had guava tea and wanted to give this guava powder a try. My wife scooped one teaspoon of guava powder in a mug, then poured hot (not boiling) water. She stirred the mixture, and allowed the guava powder to steep for a minute. My wife said the mixer did not dissolve and has a similar grittiness like she remembered, and the essence was very mild. Overall, my wife gave this product a 3.
