TheCoolCube LCD Display Digitizer Touch Screen Assembly Replacement for iPod Touch 5th /6th / 7th Generation (Black)

This thing was a nightmare to install but i learned a LOT in the process and it works! I cracked my original screen while trying to remove it to replace the battery so I had to order one of these. It was a nightmare to install but I'm proud to say that my beloved 5th gen Ipod touch has been restored! I didn't want to wait for another white one so i ordered a black one and i actually dig how it looks!

It worked the exact same as the original and it fit perfectly. The install went perfectly too overall pretty good

Lastimosamente se me cayó nuevamente al piso y ha tenido ciertas fallas pero de resto es una excelente opción para reemplazar tu pantalla dañada. Puede que mi caso sea esporádico, pero si se me daña nuevamente lo compraría con el mismo vend

It’s easy to install. I just watched a YouTube video, took me an hour & 20 mins to get done (I had to keep stopping to watch the video but I feel like the next time I do this it’ll be much faster). It fits perfectly. They packaged it very well-three layers of bubble wrap and it felt like the OG screen so I’d say overall good quality in appearance and packaging. Minus one star because Unfortunately it wasn’t as durable as I thought. Since the home button doesn’t come with this screen you must remove the button from your old device and attach to the replacement screen which is typically held by a sticky silicon frame. My daughter’s silicon button didn’t have the original stickiness to hold the button on the replacement screen so I had to put some tape to hold it in place while I hooked the screen to the iPod but towards the end when popping everything in place I realized I forgot to take the sticker off before attaching the bottom. As I went to gently reopen the screen (hoping to be able to easily remove the sticker and pop the screen back in place as I did before) the screen broke in a glitchy way (see photo for reference) which sucks because I was so gentle and they don’t have anymore in stock for me to just order another one. I wish it was more durable than that. So learn from me and make sure you have everything in place and/or removed because once you get this screen on you CAN’T take it off without it breaking. If it ever comes back in stock I’d say it’s worth getting.

Thank you my iPod touch from 2022 is finally been restored :) part worked perfectly for my broken iPod and its brand new now - minus the dings and scratches from the outer shell it’s perfect :)

I was quoted $176 JUST for diagnosis when I told the repair man the issue. Absolutely not sir. He then went on about how difficult getting parts was. (Bro, have you heard of Amazon?) Anyway, here’s the recipe. The good: Idk what everyone else is yapping about. It is exactly what you’re getting. A replacement screen. There’s no tools, instructions, nada. Please do not expect that. It feels very much like the old screen with the plastic and glass so all good there. The way it was bubble wrapped also made me feel very secure and that they care for this product. The bad: Honestly, not too bad. Keep in mind, it is just the screen so you need to save the button from the one you are replacing. The camera components are internal as well so if that needs replacing, you need to look elsewhere. The ugly: The install is god-awful but what do you expect? It is an electronic device with intricate parts. I did a YouTube search and went with “Screen replacement on the iPod 6th gen” by Thunderbye Tronics. He explained each step very clearly and was easy to understand. Got a cell phone repair kit from Home Depot for about $10 so we’re looking at $45ish bucks for good as new iPod. Overall, this is a good product and will update if my screen goes out. Hope this helps. K, bye! ♡

Excellent fit. Because these iPods have been somewhat discontinued by Apple, it’s difficult to get their parts. I live in Nigeria and couldn’t find this digitizer anywhere locally. Not sure how it was going to work but it fitted perfectly.
