A lifesaver!
As a young(ish) person that basically lives my entire life on my laptop, My whole world came crashing down when the rear left fan of my precious MSI gaming beast decided to break. With Corona rampant in my country I haven't been able to send my laptop off to a repair place, but it was getting so hot just running my browser I haven't been able to game for at least week, too terrified of melting or damaging something. This bad boy arrived today and- let me tell you, best purchase I think I've probably ever made? it's INCREDIBLY lightweight, yet the metal grid across the top is wonderful and the whole piece doesn't feel flimsy or breakable at all- important given that my laptop is quite hefty. It's large enough tat my 17.5inch piece of tech basically sits perfectly atop this, with no overhang. (They do state that larger laptops in the 18 and 19 inch range might overhang, but honestly this thing is so stable and sturdy I don't see that even being an issue) I wasn't ready for how quiet the cooling deck was either, Not that a little noise would bother me but it's genuinely quieter than my laptop when it's running with no broken fans on a usual day. There's a vague background hum and that is just about it. And as I type this my hands are no longer being borderline cooked on the too-hot surface of my laptop's keyboard, but instead are being kept wonderfully cool from the nice updraft the Klim Cyclone makes- everything feels really cold, practically room temp is not actually cooler! And its amazing! This item has been a total lifesaver, quite honestly. And thanks to it I can go back to my day to day heavy duty photoshopping and gaming work. Plus the box came with a very nice little envelope with some very fancy stickers (which have been added to my Laptop's arsenal) and what must be the most entertaining thankyou note I've ever read. I do love a company with a sense of humor. Amazing product, honestly just go for it, you'll probably love it as much as I do!

Game harder, melt slower.
I bought this because my laptop was getting warmer than a pizza box on movie night. The fans arenโt exactly hurricane-grade, but they do help keep things from getting too toasty. Itโs more of a gentle breeze than a full-on wind tunnel, enough to take the edge off during long gaming sessions or when your laptop decides to run 47 Chrome tabs for no reason. Itโs got five fans โ five! โ which feels excessive until you realise your CPUโs been cooking itself for years. Itโs a bit bulky, sure, but itโs sturdy and doesnโt slide around. The blue lights make it look like itโs about to drop a beat, and honestly, I respect that. Noise-wise, itโs not silent, but itโs way quieter than my laptop screaming for help. Plus, it has USB passthrough so you donโt lose a port, which is nice because I need all of them for charging things I forgot to charge. If your laptopโs been doubling as a space heater, this thing is a lifesaver. Or at least a lap-saver. Would buy again - essential for when running a gaming laptop.

Good Product
I am giving this item as a gift so I have no experience with using it at length. I have tested it and it seems to work well. I like the design and the materials and build quality seem to be good. The operation is relatively quiet and it's nice to be able to change the amount of cooling by turning off some of the fans. I love the blue lighting on the fans but I was surprised that the blue side pieces didn't light up too. I definitely think it needs the ability to turn the lights off though. I would also add some form of rubber spacers between the top metal grill and the material directly below it. This would remove the ever so slight amount of movement from the metal grill in its fixings (which, for example, could possibly create unwanted tapping sounds when using the keyboard). It would be nice if this item came with a carry case too. Other than these slight non-issues, I would say this item is very good and i'd even purchase one for myself if I had a laptop. The item also arrived super fast, well within 24 hours, which was incredible.

Silent and efficient, low cost laptop cooler for medium-high demands
The price of this laptop cooler (just under 30 quid) means that it's affordable for almost everyone. I've bought more expensive coolers, only to have them fall apart after a year or two so I decided to insure my product through amazon. The cooler comes in very nice packaging and the tough, armoured nylon coated wires are neatly folded away on the base of the cooler. There are two USB ports on the side of the unit, into one of which goes the USB lead. The other can then be used as a throughput so you don't lose a USB port on your machine. I have my laptop cooler running from a mobile phone USB power charger and it works fine. The only downside are the dials on the side. They're supposedly for the control of the speed of the fans however they work in an unusual way. They are off, and make a click as they turn on. This provides a nice tactile feedback. However, when you continue to turn the dials, past a certain point they click off again. This I presume is to avoid blowing the fans or burning them out, but I find it a pointless addition to have two off positions in the minimum and maximum positions of the dials. Some people might not mind, so I've not took this into account when reviewing. All-in-all, this is a perfectly functional, and I daresay essential part of your laptop kit. I game and work from home, so the laptop gets a lot of use. These fans provided plenty of cooling even under 100% CPU load.

Brilliant on every count - Highly recommended.
I am not a gamer but I purchased this as a stand for my laptop and to provide additional CPU cooling. Not that it gets that hot but it does get noticeably warmer when I am using Photoshop and other resource hungry programs. The result has been quite noticeable with the average CPU core temperature dropping by circa 5 degrees C. The CPU being a Kaby Lake 14nm Technology Intel Core i7 7700HQ @ 2.80GHz. The idle temperature, which was always in the low 50's, is now mid 40's, which must be good for the longevity and performance of the processor. All of the temperature info being provided by Speccy, which incidentally is an excellent piece of free software if you want know everything there is to know about the hardware in your computer. With both sets of fans on full speed, the noise is almost imperceptible and is just a quiet background hum. The blue lighting, which I thought might be intrusive, is a glimmer and largely hidden anyway by my laptop. The laptop has a 15.6 inch screen, with a keyboard width of 15 inches, which almost fills the stand., leaving approximately 1/2inch on either side. The stand itself is made from plastic and metal and feels and looks incredibly sturdy. I particularly like the adjustment on the legs which give 8 stages of lift to the rear, which ensure that the keyboard and screen is ideally positioned. It comes with a convenient plastic tab to stop the laptop slipping off. I have recently inserted it as a precaution but I have been using the stand without the tab for the past couple of weeks and the laptop stays firmly in place. I see that some reviewers have mentioned that it is power hungry but I can see no evidence of this on my electricity usage monitor. All in all this is a great bit of kit at a great price, which I highly recommend. P.S. Worth noting that I spoke to KLIM before purchasing as I wasn't sure which of their Coolers would be most suitable for my laptop. They were incredibly helpful and having ascertained where the cooling inputs and exhaust were located on my laptop they recommended the Cyclone for my particular application. If in doubt I suggest you do the same.

My review of the laptop cooler
Let's be honest, for ยฃ20 you really can't expect quality and you don't get it. It really feels cheap and plasticky. On the plus side, it does what it needs to do, keep your laptop cool and it is quiet. You can also use the one main fan or 4 small fans separately or all together. Like I said, for 20 quid it does what you want.

FANtastic
. I use a little program from ASC (monitor) to keep an eye on the temperature of my laptops. It has saved me from disaster but only because I happened to look at it. I needed something that would keep my device a few degrees cooler without having to keep looking at a temperature gauge. . The KLIM Cyclone was the perfect solution for my 17" desktop replacement laptop (still got the desktop for real work). . It does the job. I have compared the temperature, under various situations, and it DOES cool the laptop. OK, it may only be 3-6 degrees but it could be the difference between a nice hot summer's day and an inferno (only joking). . The lighting is superfluous as it is completely covered by the device, The fans don't get NOISY but they do make a noise but no more than my desktop which was built with four LARGE fans. The noise doesn't bother me as I am usually wearing headphones listening to U.S. cable news stations or a bit of Southern Rock - maybe the entire works of Lynyrd Skynyrd :-) . Laptops get hotter than desktops because there is not much space for air movement. The vents also get blocked up eventually - use a brush and a vacuum cleaner on them frequently. . Got a laptop? Get a KLIM Cyclone. You know it makes sense. .

Overall, a great product that works well
For the most part, it's hard to fault the Klim Cyclone; it's powerful, it's light, it's quiet and it looks pretty cool when running too thanks to the red lighting. The only issue I've really found is that when it says it fits a 17" laptop, TECHNICALLY it does as mine does sit on there. But if I had the stop bar in place at the bottom to stop it slipping, a good inch+ of laptop would be hanging over the back edge of the unit, which would mean the fans are missing a good chunk of the bottom right where the fans and heat pipe are located. It DOES reduce temperature though, and if you don't have a bigger laptop or you don't want to hold a bigger laptop in place with the guard while on an angle then it's perfect and much better than the previous cooling pad I used. Would definitely continue to use Klim products after this, and the 5 year warranty leaves me in no doubt that Klim actually care about their products instead of caring about selling as many as possible and to hell with the consumer. Would definitely recommend
