The bars are covered in real dark chocolate. If your like me & want that chocolate, this is satisfying. It's not thinly coated too. It's a non GMO, & has no palm oils which I like. Dark chocolate, protein, & fiber's good for you. 170 calories for 17g protein is equal to recommended. Low in sugar & 6g of fiber is great. I even like the raspberry flavor. I got the variety pack. The bars are expensive. I had some Amazon discounts. It's cheaper to buy in bulk. Another good thing is the rice crispy like bits, so you can slow down and eat slower.

I love these bars! They taste delicious, and the macros are really decent, especially for a vegan protein bar and for the price. The outer chocolate layer does melt pretty easily, so you want to make sure you keep it in a cool storage area. The texture is fine, they are not overly dry so you don’t have to worry about keeping a drink with you at all times while eating them. I will continue to purchase these, and I would definitely recommend them. The dark chocolate coconut flavor is definitely my favorite, and if you like almond joys and mounds, you will also love that flavor too.

I was looking for a softer alternative to Clif Builder bars, and these aren't it. First of all, these are manufactured on the same equipment as products using common allergens, including milk. That was my fault, because I was coming down with COVID, when I purchased these (and apparently didn't mentally process the bold text warnings, if they were on the page a few weeks ago). I was looking for something softer than Clif Builder, because they're like eating granite. The Builder bars often set off my acid reuflux, and I'm pretty sure it's because they're so dense and hard. These are only marginally softer, if they aren't even just as bad. They also tend to trigger my acid reflux. I love the fact that these have less calories, though. The sense of satiety is pretty good. Not quite as rib-sticking as Builder bars, but okay. Actually, I sometimes have to force myself to eat at least a little at lunch, when I have a Builder bar for breakfast. The flavors of these seem to be equal to the Builder bars (I have only tried the Peanut Butter and Chocolate Mint Builder bars, but only like the Peanut Butter). Not candy bar delicious, but edible. The chances of dairy cross-contamination with these bothers me, just as it does with the Clif Builder bars. Once again, this is another supposedly vegan product that makes me wonder how much moral crusading vegans are really committed to their banner-waving cause. Because these claim to be vegan, but are processed on machinery that processes dairy ingredients. And, obviously, dairy is NOT acceptable in a truly vegan lifestyle. And yet, I haven't seen any reviews questioning it. Reviews just up vote it as a good vegan product (though I haven't read every single one). While I don't want to stir a political pot, this always seems hypocritical of vegan consumers, to me. But, I'm not a moral crusading, banner-waving vegan. I'm just somebody sampling vegan products, in order to avoid the misery of allergic reactions to dairy and dairy derivatives, so what do I know? At any rate, I don't regret trying these. However, I don't know if I'll be buying any more.

The NuGo Vegan Slim variety pack is what I ordered, but I received the regular variety pack. Those ones are loaded with sugar, unlike the vegan slim version that I ordered. I wont be able to eat these due to the high sugar content. Really bummed about getting the wrong pack, but the NuGo Vegan Slim are super delicious. Coconut, Chocolate PB, Mint Chocolate, and Raspberry are all delicious. The coconut is my favorite.

The best vegan protein bars by far!! I shopped around for a few weeks and once I discovered these I knew I found my favorite. I get the variety because I like all the flavors, but my favorites are the coconut, peanut butter, and espresso. But I honestly like them all. The crunch in them keeps from getting that chalky feeling that other brands have and the chocolate coating is unmatched. 10/10

I love Nugo Slim bars (and their regular bars when i'm not cutting out all sugars) These Nugo slim are the best low sugar protein bar on the market in my opinion. They have nothing artificial, no splenda or stevia, no weird palm oils or additives, plus high protein. I must have tried 50 or more protein bars and brands over the years , and nothing compares to these. I dont often find them in stores anymore so pulled the plug and ordered them from Amazon. Turns out they came direct from Nugo, and the packaging was as good as it gets. Sturdy padded box that also had a cool pack in there. I alread know I love the peanut butter one,but bought the multi flavor pack this time and glad I did. All the others are terrific, mint, coconut, espresso, all of them. (The only flavor I have not liked in the past is the raspberry, but I dont like raspberry anything, so no surprises there) Anyway, couldnt be more delighted and will re-order for sure.
