This is a great product. Yes, you will be able to see where you have sprayed. This keeps you from going over the same area twice, which is wasteful and can damage your lawn. If you make two passes, you are doubling the rate, which can kill your grass Herbicides that are safe for you lawn are not safe if you use too much. Many reviewers have talked about the messiness of this product. Yes, it is messy, so be very careful. Even if you are careful, I think it’s safe to say some of the dye will go where you don’t want it to. Mix it over a sheet of plastic. As one reviewer wrote, it IS a dye, a very strong dye. I wore double latex gloves and had no problem. You can rinse the dye off your sprayer, measuring container, etc., with a garden hose. I recommend you work in the same area before moving on because it’s much easier to see the dye while it’s wet. Green dye worked fine, but blue might show up even better. ADDED NOTE: The second time I used this dye I had a GREEN DOG! Yes, really, but no harm was done. The day after I used it I gave my golden retriever a bath. After a bath, she wants to roll in the grass. After she rolled, as I went to rinse her, I said Holy Moley!--I got a green dog. It was alarming because it's a lawn chemical with ingredients not known to me, and she had a green streak on her face, not far from her eye. The good thing was I quickly discovered I could rinse the green dye away with water (and her eye tightly covered with my hand). It easily rinsed completely away. Now truthfully, my dear dog was not totally green, just a few stripes in her coat. The dye had dried for 24 hours + . I feel sure this would not have happened had she not been wet. This is a certified true story. Don't let your dog go green! This dye is very strong, but you can easily rinse it off with water. Fabrics--pretty sure you don't want to try that. The bottle was a mess after I used, with drips of dye down the side, but I was able to easily rinse it off. If the dye soaks into your skin it will be there for a while--but rinse what you can. Be smart; wear latex-type gloves. If it soaks into your pants or shirt, you'll probably want to buy a new pair of pants or a new shirt.

Love this spray pattern indicator. Helps me know what area of the lawn has been treated for perfect coverage.

Works great.

Instructions say 6 to 10 ozs for 30 gallons tank. I put 8 ozs in a 15 tank. After spraying a few feet I added another 2 ozs. Minutes later I added appox. another 3 ozs. Still to light. Some places I could see where I sprayed and other places I could not. Light green dye does not work on a green lawn. My instincts were to get a blue dye and that is what I should have done.

Product is very helpful to observe where separated product has been applied.

The product works great - it made spraying the herbicide much easier, since I could see clearly what was already treated. The only downside - the next day when we let the dogs out, their feet turned green because the dye reactivated because of the morning dew. I never expected it to dry and then do this the next day - so use a bit of care and caution on where you apply it!
