When I first opened the box I was impressed with build quality of these ear defenders - they are solidly made, well finished and look as if they should have cost more than they actually did. They continued to impress me in use. They felt tight when I first put them on, but within minutes, I was unaware that I was wearing them. I can use them for long periods without any discomfort whatever. I'm using these ear defenders while using very noisy power tools, including an electric planer, an angle grinder, a router and a table-saw. They do not cut out all the noise - not even electronic "noise-cancelling" headphones do that - but they do attenuate the noise to an astonishing degree. While I'm sure that neighbours half a mile away can hear the noise that I'm making, I'm barely aware of it while wearing these ear defenders. They really are that good! I would recommend them to any power tool user, whether hobbyist, or professional, without hesitation. And - next time any of my friends get married, I'll be giving the groom a pair of these ear defenders as a wedding present. He'll thank me later :-)

Have used these twice now with loud power tools (random orbital sander and large petrol garden shredder) and they reduce the noise very effectively. I wear glasses and they are comfortable over longer periods of time. Hubby has a pair of 3Ms ones, but they aren’t adjustable and the head band is too large for me. These are great because the head band is adjustable for a comfortable fit. Very competitively priced. Arrived very quickly. Would recommend.

Update:So I wouldn't recommend for noise above. I have to wear my earplugs plus the headset. I read all the reviews and I understood before buying these that these would not be a complete fix for my situation. Living in a block of flats with THE worst flooring above and where the landlord refuses to help is a constant nightmare. It's like hearing constant slamming on the floor and rather than people elephants walking up there all day. Thankfully its ups and downs and not always noisy. This morning was the first time I put them on. They are really comfortable to wear and I can easily see myself wearing these for at least a couple of hours without complaint. It doesn't drown out the noise completely but its enough not to give me super anxiety over it like I normally would. I can still hear my neighbours downstairs talking outside when i'm watching TV but it's completely drowns out the noise of the main road which is nice. I will update you all again in a few days.

Whilst they don't block all the sound they do block enough for me to not be bothered by the noise of my 96dB mower. They can get a little uncomfortable when sweating but they do the job. I'm happy to have purchased them and would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap but good set of ear defenders. I'm quite a large headed beast and they fit comfortably, the head strap isn't adjustable though so bear that in mind.

They really do cut down on most of the noise, very effective. Recommend them if you're using noisy equipment for long periods.

I bought these ear defenders due to excessive machine noise at work. These are amazing. Way more comfortable than I expected. The padding is substantial and very soft too. Also the headband adjustment is excellent; it lengthens itself as you put the defenders on. As far as noise elimination goes, it is incredible. I should have bought these ages ago. They are such a relief. Our machine noises are not only loud, but some motor noise frequencies also resonate with my eardrums which is most unpleasant at times. These ear defenders cure both of those problems at a stoke. GREAT product.

I mean they aren’t bad just personally for the use I was needed them I bought them for a 10 year old little girl who is autistic and she loved Pokémon but they wear far too big but I guess it could be because she’s so young they aren’t bad just not for me

I have autism and suffer with my auditory sensitivity, I ordered these ear defenders after reading some reviews. They definitely work, it blocks out all background noise, but I can still have a conversation with the person in front of me. The thing that I found is that they are rather tight, so I can't wear them for a long period of time. I don't have a big head, always have to wear caps as small as they go, and these are meant to be adult ones. If you only need them for short amounts of time I'd say its worth it for sure because they do work.
