Excellent detergent, amount of loads per bottle might be off
After using tide clear for a long time, I always found that I needed boosters or to run the wash longer on heavily soiled garments. Saw this go on sale and decided to give it a try on the promise that you can use less while achieving the same if not better results. The fact that this is in a small bottle compared to a giant jug make you wonder why liq detergent even comes in gallons when the washer obviously dilutes it. Maybe something to make it look comparable to having a giant box of powder from the old days...First the most important is the free and clear, no scents or dyes. Clothes come out without smells and no skin reactions to be had. Flying colors here.Removing stains and smells this also does a fantastic job. Everything comes out looking clean and bright, doesn't dull colored clothes. Dirty laundry goes in and clean clothes come out. Passes the effectiveness test. The only thing I find as somewhat an issue is the amount of detergent they recommended. This would be where the cost per load is a little off in my opinion. I do the laundry when I can fill the washer to a full load, no unnecessary half loads. Following the instructions on amount of detergent to use on a full load, I find that using a little more than recommended to be more effective. Clothes come out feeling better cleaned and absolutely scent free. So with this in mind, I'm giving the detergent 4 stars because for my use I'm paying more per load than what is advertised. This is using a Maytag HE front loader.

EXCELLENT detergent!!
If I could give this detergent 10 stars I would. I have been waiting for a detergent like this for decades. It cleans better than ANY detergent I have ever used, it doesnโt have a chemical smell and a tiny bit goes a long way which protects my washing machine and my budget.I am chemically sensitive and Also have a very good sense of smell. I am extra aware of wether my clothes Actually smell clean without fragrances to conceal what isNT being cleaned. So laundry coming out still smelling really bothers me but I canโt use conventional laundry detergents due to the fragrances and the scent free ones I tried just didnโt actually clean my laundry and still had that not quite clean laundry smell.I am DELIGHTED with this brand. It actually cleans my laundry and it smells fresh because itโs actually clean. I have really put it through the wringer too with dirt, grass stains, all kinds of food stains, sweat stains, blood from a skinned knee, and more. It gets EVERYthing out. It even brightened up an old duvee cover that was โcleanโ. It took out all the musty smells, old fragrance smells and made it look vibrant and brand new again (it had been looking dull and grungy). This seemed expensive when I bought it the first time because you get an 8 ounce bottle, and I was like thereโs no way that this is gonna last as long as they say. But it did. You really truly do not need very much. My clothes are the cleanest theyโve ever been. Iโm still shocked every time I wash something that I havenโt worn in a while and it comes out cleaner then when I put it on.Also, being chemically sensitive I do not tolerate synthetic fragrances at all. Like zero. I tried other brands that claim to be natural and I still get reactions to them. I have zero reaction to both scents in this brand. Iโm not claiming that all people that are chemically sensitive would have the same experience as me, But both sense are gentle, theyโre not overpowering, they didnโt cause my skin to react and they didnโt give me my typical chemical sensitivity reaction either. The good smell was present but was not overwhelming - and I love that I can finally have clean detergent AND a pretty scent on it. And if for some reason you donโt want scents, they offer a fragrance free option.I highly recommend this detergent. It is hard to impress me when it comes to laundry detergent. I really dived deep into experimenting with different brands and different types for a while, and this is my number #1 pick. Even though itโs a little bottle, I spend less money overall on this detergent. And it Actually cleans the laundry and doesnt just gloss over with fragrances. I absolutely love it. It deserves 10 stars.

Five Years In, This Is Still Our Go-To Detergent
Weโve been using Dirty Labs consistently for more than five years, and it remains one of our favorite laundry products. What keeps us coming back is the balance of cleaning power and scent. The fragrance is soft and elevated without being overwhelming, which matters to me because Iโm very sensitive to stronger commercial detergent scents like Tide or Gain. I used to default to free-and-clear formulas, but I always missed having just a little fragrance. This gives me that without feeling overpowering. With โdesigner detergentโ becoming more popular, this is still the type I prefer. It gives laundry that more sophisticated, fragrance-forward experience, but I also like that the formula is built around bio enzymes and a more thoughtfully formulated approach to cleaning rather than fragrance being the main attraction. The enzyme cleaning power is excellent. One of my favorite uses is washing sneakers and training shoes. They come out looking noticeably cleaner, often close to new again, and smell fresh without being heavily perfumed. Weโve also been very happy with its general stain and odor removal. My biggest criticism is the dispensing. The included silicone measuring cup is useful, but pouring the concentrated detergent directly from the bottle can become sticky, messy, and a little wasteful. We also purchased the Dirty Labs dispensing vessel, but ultimately found it more frustrating than helpful. It reminded me of a hand-soap dispenser, and we were often left with detergent at the bottom that the pump could no longer reach.I would love to see Dirty Labs offer a simple long-straw pump designed to fit the actual detergent bottles. That would make an already excellent product much easier and cleaner to use.Overall, after more than five years of regular use, the cleaning performance, stain removal, and gentle elevated scent are still what keep us buying it.

Dirty Labs is here to stay
I have to admit, I was skeptical about switching to a plant-based detergent, but Dirty Labs completely won me over. I tried both the Original and Murasaki scents, and they are game-changers for my laundry routine.First off, a little goes a long way. The bottles are tiny, but the cleaning power is huge. It completely knocks out sweat smells and random stains without leaving that heavy, soapy film on my clothes. Everything just feels genuinely clean and soft. The scents are where these really shine. The Original has this wonderfully crisp, classic freshness that isn't overwhelming at all. But Murasaki is my absolute favorite. It smells incredibly high-end and relaxingโlike a spa day for your clothes.Plus, it doesn't irritate my skin, and I love knowing it's better for the planet. If you're on the fence about eco-friendly detergents, definitely give these a shot!

EDIT: youโll need about 3x the recommended amt. see r/laundry on Reddit
For years Iโve been searching for fragrance-free products that actually work. If youโve ever tried the usual โFree & Clearโ options, you probably know the story: theyโre marketed as gentle, but most of them underperform. Tide Free & Gentle (or โGentle Free & Clear,โ whatever theyโre calling it now) doesnโt clean nearly as well as regular Tide. All Free & Clear and Kirkland Free & Clear are even weaker. And when Tide Ultra Stain Release Free & Clear was discontinued, it felt like the last great option was gone.Dirty Labs has completely changed that. Their Unscented Bio Laundry Detergent is the first fragrance-free formula Iโve found that actually matches or exceeds the cleaning power of mainstream detergents. The yardstick in my house is my husbandโs laundry: he has extremely oily skin and hair, and most fragrance-free detergents simply canโt get his clothes and pillowcases clean and free of sebum residue. Dirty Labs can. The only mainstream product that comes close right now is All Free & Clear Odor Relief, but even that doesnโt perform quite as consistently. With Dirty Labs, everything comes out fresh, soft, and truly clean. And it only takes two teaspoons per load. Now, about those pumps. Iโve seen some reviewers complain about having to pump eight times. Honestly? It takes maybe 15 seconds. Thatโs not a flaw, thatโs just concentrated detergent in action. You can either pump straight into your washerโs detergent compartment or use the little silicone cup that comes with the system and toss it right in with your clothes. Itโs neat, tidy, and easy. What really elevates the experience, though, is the Reusable Erlenmeyer Glass Flask. This is one of the most thoughtful product designs Iโve ever seen in a cleaning product. The glass feels sturdy and high-quality in your hand, the proportions are comfortable to hold, and it looks beautiful sitting out on the shelf. No more ugly plastic jugs, no more industrial packaging that you want to hide away โ just clean lines and timeless design. Itโs eco-friendly, itโs reusable, and it turns laundry into a routine I actually donโt mind. The flask plus the detergent together feel like a well-thought-out system, not just a product. And while I was switching over, I decided to try the Dishwasher Detergent too. Itโs every bit as effective as the laundry detergent. Dishes come out sparkling, without residue or synthetic fragrance. No heavy perfumes masking โclean,โ just actual clean. Between the laundry detergent, the flask, and the dishwasher detergent, Dirty Labs has created a complete system for the home thatโs sustainable, safe, and effective.Iโve been so impressed that I bought sets for my mom and both of my adult daughters. When you find something that works this well, you want to share it. Dirty Labs solved a problem Iโve had for years: how to get truly clean clothes and dishes without relying on harsh, heavily scented mainstream products or disappointing โfree & clearโ versions that donโt do the job.If youโre on the fence, hereโs my advice: donโt just buy one piece โ get the whole system. The Unscented Laundry Detergent, the Erlenmeyer Glass Flask, and the Dishwasher Detergent. Together they make cleaning simple, elegant, and effective. This is one of those rare cases where you really can have it all: eco-conscious design, fragrance-free formulas, and powerful cleaning performance.

Disappointed
I am a bit disappointed after reading reviews and thinking this is the ticket!! My daughter works at KFC and that smell just wonโt come out. It came close after washing twice back to back along with the recommended 3 scoops of the powder each time. But still left some of that smell. The fragrance disappears after the wash too.

It works. It smells fantastic. The container is recyclable.
I love this laundry detergent. It works so fantastic. I have a nice Samsung washing machine. I use a cap full for a full load. It does a great job. I just make sure I use a stain remover if I have tough stains on the clothing like anything oil based, etc., I love the smell of it. I love knowing that Iโm using a better quality item thatโs better for the ecosystem and the container is recyclable. This is my second purchase of this and I will continue purchasing it because I just love everything about this product.

Worth the Money!
We have three dogs and active lifestyles, so we do a lot of laundry in our house. I purchased this initially to wash gym clothes that never felt clean with other detergent, but I now use this detergent for every load. The fragrance stays fresh on clothes and it helps to remove set in odors, even on our pet blankets that have gone to the vet or boarding facility. While expensive, a little goes a very long way in getting clothes clean, so it is worth the investment and it takes up much less space in our laundry room than the large bulky detergent bottles. This will be my go-to laundry detergent from now on.

Great quality detergent
Great clean on all my fabrics

Poor cleaning power
It was so important for me to find a detergent which doesn't have harmful chemicals and indeed I believe from this point of view this one is absolutely ok but unfortunately it just doesn't clean well. I sometimes now wash the clothes with a regular detergent first then run them on a short cycle with this one to remove the harmful residues from the regular detergent. This is though super time consuming and expensive but I really don't know what to do as I tried so many brands of these new kind of natural detergents and the spots just don't come out, things like make up smears for example or food stains.
User
A bit under dosed for manufacture recommended but powerful when you use tiny bit extra
A bit under powered with recommended quantity so I end up using the beaker full for a 5kg wash load but the science behind this is amazing. It did clean up my whites really well compared to ecover that I used to use before. The bottle came dented but didnโt leak & have had no rashes or irritation so far. 2 washes in and loving the amazing enzymes they use in the ingredients. Natural too!
User
Decent, but not as concentrated
Better than some of the other non-toxic detergents I have tried, but not as concentrated as it claims; it takes quite a bit of product to get a good clean.
User
Unscented is scented!! Be warned!
It's not unscented. Drove my aesthma way up and may have ruined my sheets and clothes. F--- this brand. Also, as others have stated, the bottle design is CRAP. I hate it when products position themselves as 'premium' but are less useful than the basic brands at the damn grocery store...disappointing.
