Shimano PD-R550 Speed SL Road Resin Composite Pedals

Initial review: Good looking, easy to adjust, does the trick. Reasonable price compared with other sellers. Follow up: so after only 4 rides / 170 miles on the clock, the cleat on my standing foot needs changing. I’ve read on forums the quality of cleats that come with the pedals aren’t as durable as a stand-alone pack. I’ve had no incidents with clipping in/out, have the pedals on the loosest setting, so a little underwhelmed to be needing to replace after such a short time. The pedals are great, which is the main thing.

These are great pedals at the price - carbon ones are expensive, cheaper ones heavier.

I've purchased these before for another bike but bought a grey pair for a new bike but the same black pedals arrived. Not a massive deal breaker as I know these are quality products, just wished a grey one arrived- as ordered- to go with the aesthetic I was going for with this bike. Would otherwise have given 5 stars.

I noticed that there was a number of reviewers saying they received TacoBey knock-off pedals. I was expecting to have to return them after they arrived BUT it seems like I received real Shimano pedals. Packaging seems legit and weight of pedals were spot on 310g. (They could still be knock offs) Going to get them on the bike and see how I go, will update review if they don't survive!

Riden about 250 miles on these. A big improvement over my old look pedals. Very cheap, positive when clipping in, release well. They're light too (com paired to the m540) the only question I can't answer is on durability, but you could buy two for the cost of the 105.

These are superb pedals. I purchased yellow cleats at the same time as there is no mention of them coming with cleats. The one glaring omission is an Allen key to adjust the resistance on the pedals. Hence 4 instead of 5 stars.

Ich kann nichts Schlechtes sagen. Ein schönes, leichtes Paar Klickpedale. Habe sie mir zusammen mit ein paar Shimanoschuhen gekauft und bin rundum zufrieden. Durch's Einstellen der richtigen Auflage des Fußballens hat man eine enorm gute Kraftübertragung und einen stabilen Tritt ohne Sorge, dass irgendetwas bricht oder rausrutscht. Wer etwas mehr aus seinem Rennrad oder auch normalem Fahrrad rausholen möchte, kann sich gerne diese Klickis kaufen. Am Anfang noch ungewohnt, erledige ich jetzt sogar Alltagsstrecken mit Klickpedalen.
