I find it extremely easy to use , especially as I have had an operation on my right wrist which means I can no longer bend or twist it. They are very sharp and you just have to pull it the length of whatever you are peeling and it will remove a thin layer of skin.

This item was acteplacement for an identical item which eventually gave up after 5 years constant service. I read I'm these reviews that some were complaining that the knife rusted. This is because it is high carbon steel and not stainless. This means that it will keep its sharp edge for much longer, but the it should not be put away wet as it will rust. I look forward to another 5 years of constant service.

Perfect replacement for my old one

I have brought for gifts.I have owned one for many years. Slice's thin potatoes and Veg to make home made crisps also nice little Cheese Slices.Very Versatile Little Gadget.

Forget ceramic, forget expensive, these are the best. For those who complain they rust, handwash rather than dishwasher.

These peelers are very dissapointing quality! I have owned similar peelers for years from different brands. These are not a high quality peeler. I have had these for less than a month and already there is quite some rust on it. I contacted the seller who told me that because it is made of carbon steel (FYI the true Zena blade is actually made of blued steel which is supposed to protect against rust) if water is on it, it will rust. Thank you, I am familiar with the concept of rust... but as a kitchen utensil this item will be in touch with water and I can assure you that in all the years of owning such peelers I have never had one rust at this speed or barely at all...

I had purchased 2 of these peelers over 20 years ago at a flea market in Pennsylvania. I gave one to my mother-in-law and kept the other one. Both of us loved it so much as we have arthritis in our hands and this peeler makes quick and easy work of anything that has to be peeled. I have been trying to find them again so I could get extra ones for our camper. I finally found them on Amazon and ordered three of them. I would never use another peeler after having the Zena Swill Rex peeler. My mother-in-law misplaced her's one day and after searching the kitchen she figured it was thrown out with the peelings by mistake. She went out and dug through the trash to find it. She said she couldn't imagine not having that peeler. She did find it. This peeler works better with age and never rusts. I absolutely recommend it to everyone. You will love it as much as we do.
