Don't go to the garage to purchase!
So easy to fit on, I used some blue tack to grip the front of the mirror to position it accurately. The same item was offered at the Audi garage for £90.

It fits perfectly
I tried Halfords but they don’t stock VW specific mirrors so was anxious that an on line supplier wouldn’t be able to match the manufacturers size. I needn’t have worried!
