Comes with a lot of extra pieces to decorate the garden. The various stones are a really nice addition. I don’t like the plastic tree but that's a minor issue. It also comes with various tools to make patterns in the sand.

As someone who appreciates creating simple and beautiful stuff, I found this zen garden to be all the things you’d expect (I.e. wooden tray, white sand, rakes, and decor) plus a plethora of extras that make this particular brand worth your dime. The garden box is a polished wood that fits both in a home and professional environment. The white sand is soft with tiny granules, allowing you to create very fine details like delicate ripples and waves. My kit included a ton of trees, rocks, structural pieces like a bridge and buildings, and even a charming little boat. I ended up choosing my favorites and making a very pleasing design that brought me a lot of joy during a recent hospital stay. I will definitely be keeping this! literally the star of the show at my white elephant party last year. the friend who ended up taking it home keeps it at her work desk and likes to rearrange the garden when she’s bored/overwhelmed. it’s perfect for anti-anxiety and is a great low-dopamine activity for brain breaks.
