desertcart.com: Edens Garden Relaxing Home 100% Pure Essential Oil Blend 10 ml (.33 oz) | Premium Grade, Undiluted, Natural, Therapeutic, Aromatherapy, The Best For Diffusing, Skin, Candle, Humidifiers : Health & Household Review: Love this - I love how this makes my home smell, it’s perfect for diffusing before bedtime. I wish I didn’t go through the bottle so fast!! Review: Wea scent - Love the scent but it's very light/weak. I put several drops in a 300ml cool mist diffuser and couldn't really smell anything. I had to use quite a bit more to get even a hint of the scent. I tried it in two other same size diffusers with the same results. I've not had this issue with other brands. Is this "normal" or this scent?

Relaxing with soft citrus, gentle floral, and sweet honey notes--but NOT 100% pure essential oil
Edens Garden’s Relaxing Home Essential Oil Blend offers a delightful, relaxing aroma with soft citrus, gentle floral, and sweet honey notes--but NOT 100% pure essential oil. AROMA Soft citrus (notably lemon, bergamot, juniper), gentle floral (notably juniper, fir, lavender, ylang-ylang, and jasmine), and sweet honey (notably mimosa absolute/acacia dealbata, vanilla CO2) APPLICATIONS Dryer balls, roller balls or spray bottles as a perfume, or in a diffuser where you don’t mind carrier oils potentially damaging the diffuser (see below) CONCERNS Sadly, this blend is NOT 100% pure essential oil. You will find, for instance, that the vanilla CO2 is an ingredient used in perfumes that is a 1:9 dilution of vanilla to fractionated coconut oil. That ingredient, alone, guarantees this product is not 100% pure essential oil. Essential oils are typically extracted via steam distillation in the same way one would distill alcohol. As the ingredients (such as acacia dealbata) are boiled and steamed, vapors rise in the tank and proceed through a tube where the vapors are cooled into a condensation. Edens Garden, however, uses Mimosa Absolute, which is NOT STEAM DISTILLED. Rather, Mimosa Absolute is a thick, sticky, transparent liquid that must be heated slowly to be poured because it is extracted through chemical solvents (like the chemical compounds in dish soap). This blend has four Absolutes, which I assume were extracted through solvents. Absolutes and Vanilla CO2 are for perfume applications, and with the use of solvents, perhaps you can see why ingestion would be a bad choice.

Similar to Edens Garden Sound Asleep, But Not Quite (Caution In BOTTOM LINE)
I have used quite a few different brands of essential oils over time. The one brand I keep coming back to is Edens Garden. They are high quality and I have not had many issues at all with them. One of the blends that I find invaluable, especially in the winter time, is something that helps me rest or sleep. I use a blend from Edens Garden called Sound Asleep. It is one of their kids blends which I tend to like best of all of the blends that they have. HOW THIS COMES This came in a nice bubble wrap envelope and well protected. There was a little card with a tiny little bottle of another oil blend to test out. OILS IN NUMBER I had a friend who used to get into oils, but she used to have no filters when it came to mixing oil smells. There was such an assault on the noses of everyone that was in the house, that before she moved away, they would run for cover after her visits until we could air the house out when she was gone. It was like an assault on the smelling process. Lately the past year, Edens G has started producing some blends which make my family ask if my friend went to work for them. In other words, this new blending process seems to like to add a LOT of oils together which results in a similar reaction to my friends intense blending obsession. It is like muddy overbearing mixes in many cases. This blend has a lot of oils in it, no doubt. It is not as bad as some of the others they have come out with that have a lot of oils in it. It tends to remind me of SOUND ASLEEP both in smell as well as making me drowsy some days. IS THE SMELL NICE? Believe it or not, this smell is pretty nice. It is not quite as clean and straight forward as other blends, but I like it okay. It has a nice floral subdued note that makes you want to relax. HOW I USE THIS This is used primarily in the house for diffusing, but it also is not too bad in an inhaler which is handy to have in your pocket if you know you are going to a place with odor you don't like. A quick sniff of this and it is pleasant again. THE BOTTOM LINE This is a nice blend. It has a nice floral note and it is pleasant to diffuse in the home. It is also good for personal inhaler to take to unpleasant smelling places. Be sensitive to people around you if they are sensitive to smells. All of the oils in here might cause headaches blended up. MY RATING FIVE STARS. This oil is on the expensive side because it has some expensive oils in it. It is a fair price for what you get. I wanted to mention that although this does not have osmanthus in it, the blend of flowers is reminiscent of the sound asleep blend which does have it. I still prefer the Sound Asleep Blend if I had to choose, however.

Smells like home, potent
This oil comes in a dark amber glass 10ml bottle with a black plastic screw on cap. It uses the dropper plug so it’s flat across where the oil comes out. The plug works great for me since I like a more fast drop and this one drops out one drop of oil every second. With this oil I think the name matches the overall scent great. In my opinion, the overall scent is somewhat citrus, spice, floral all mixed together at least to my nose, but I really am enjoying the scent. It’s potent and smells like great quality. Overall, it’s a great blend, it’s potent and I would recommend.

Quality of Ingredients but scent is too strong/not relaxing to me
I trust the quality of Edens Garden essential oils. After doing some research a few years ago, this is one of the companies I chose to purchase my essential oils from. I like that they have quality ingredients, batch test their essential oils and provide GC/MS reports. I previously purchased their Lavender oil and Goodnight blend and enjoy both of them so I was looking forward to trying out this Home blend. How does the Relaxing Home essential oil smell to me? Personal scent sense and aroma is so subjective. It’s so hard to determine if you will like a scent when purchasing online. Based on the only 3 ingredients highlighted in the description —Tuberose, Mimosa and Jasmine — I was expecting a light, relaxing floral/fruity scent. I smell a complex blend of smoky, woodsy, spicy, peppery and citrus notes combined with only slight hints of floral. I wasn’t initially drawn to this blend — it’s too strong and woodsy for me. When lightly diffused throughout a large room, I liked it much better — it smelled more spicy and fruity and less smoky. I want to love it, and I do like it at first whiff, but there is just something about it that reminds me of pipe tobacco and that's the scent that lingers for me. My husband likes it and doesn't think it smells smoky at all. You will probably enjoy this blend If you are drawn to woodsy scents. I think it’s just the combination of the oils that are a bit too much for me, and although I like it better when lightly diffused, it’s just not my “cup of tea.” In my opinion, this is fine for a home blend, but this is not a blend I would reach for to create a soothing sense of calm, and peaceful relaxation throughout my home.
