Cat Mate 3-Meal Automatic Pet Feeder, 170g per Bowl, Wet & Dry Food, White

Let me start by saying I could live with out this. We had to by two at the same time and it felt like a huge outlay.But with young cats on a more frequent eating schedule, than a full grown one. As they are fans of wet food, the sealed units are brilliant abs they do eat the food even at the end of the day.This has meant we can go for a long day out, or an evening out and know they have their food at regular intervals, on their normal schedule.Once the cats are older and we can leave them over night, we know they will still keep to their eating schedule, with fresh food.It is easy to set up. Read the instructions - I may have jumped in and it took me a little longer to get it right.The freezer packs are great.The dishes go in the dishwasher, so easy to clean.The main unit is easy to wipe down.The unit is rather big, and very different from the normal food dish arrangement, but ours get on with it fine - our boy cat is a sensitive soul and struggles with change, so I try and leave a few biscuits in one of these so it smells of food and he associates it with meals.It can be a little bit noisy when the dish moves round - but I’ve noticed it does act as a call to food, so that can’t be bad.I would really recommend this if you have cats who need an early morning feed, or if you have a change to your routine but want your cats to stay on theirs.

I wish there was a better alternative for feeding multiple cats in the same household - but buying two of these has so far seemed to fix my dilemma.- We bought two C300s to sit side by side so they would open at the same time for our two cats. Our oldest now needs to eat little and often to stop her from vomiting on an empty stomach. Two cats could not eat from the same machine at the same time. And unless they are incredibly generous and like to take turns, unlike our rude gluttons, I would suggest going for two. It's also kinder to the cats to give them a resource each so they don't have to squabble. So far, 8 meals, and the timers have opened at the same time as each other - but they're getting a tiny bit more out of sync every day so I suspect I'll have to reset the clocks soon.- The triangular opening is quite small, not really ideal for whiskers - so our cats tend to use their paws to fish out the last bits of dry food. I wouldn't want to give them all their meals using this - they prefer to eat out of flat plates that are easier on their faces.- You can only set the timer for 2 meals, the '3rd' meal would be the open slot.- I wouldn't use this machine for wet food. As other reviewers point out, the ice pack positioning seems to be a design flaw- They are pretty LOUD when they open. Our older, night-time-blind cat is really scared of the sound and wouldn't eat from it initially. We're using the timer for 2 of her meals and sitting with her while it opens to get her used to it - but I suspect we'll have to buy something else if it keeps unsettling her. Other cat understands that the noise means food. Even though other cat is famously a bit dim. The noise doesn't last long at all mind you - it's just the rotation.

OK, first the negatives. I didn't realise when I bought it that this only gives 2 timed meals. The third bowl section will be eaten straight away, as its not covered. It can only be set for two times a day.On the positive side I can feed my cat every morning at 5.30 without having to get out of bed at stupid oclock- roused by scratching or my furry munchkin jumping on my head! She doesn't mind using it and moves like a flash when she hears it whirr round.It's simple to set up and clean.The battery lasts about 6 weeks and it does flash to warn you when it's low.Used with another timed feeding bowl we just about managed 2 days feed when we went away for a weekend.I'm glad I got it, its worth it just for the extra sleep time!

This feeder is a lifesaver and a game changer. Our rescue cat, Pebble, began routinely waking us up at 5am every morning for food and, when ignored, the poor carpet bore the brunt of her frustration. With this feeder we've managed to save our weekend lie-ins and our carpets, and Pebble is pretty happy too. The customer care is second-to-none and every feeder comes with a 3-year guarantee for repair/replacement if things go wrong. Honestly could not be better.When we first got it, my tuxedo menace did try to dig her way inside so be prepared to hear your cat beat the feeder up initially. I'd advise getting a rubber mat or blocking it in place with furniture or shoes so it doesn't go wandering around your room like a bullied Roomba. The feeder was the ultimate victor in that fight though and now she doesn't even bother trying.We purchased a second one, so Pebble has one feeder for dry biscuits (her early morning 'don't wake us up' snack and her dinner) and one for her wet food pouch (breakfast), and we only have to actually put her food in the feeders once per day (usually before we go to bed) so we can still go out for the day/evening without worrying about her feeding schedule. Her feeding is so structured now that I knew immediately something was amiss when she wasn't back in for dinner one day, and I went outside to find her being intimidated by a neighbour's chihuahua!Each feeder has 3 decent-sized compartments and 2 are 'hidden' with one open at any one time. You can set 2 meal times and they'll repeat each day, with the compartments rotating at the next set mealtime, and you can adjust the times as you need to. It doesn't beep but the rotation makes a sound that my cat hears and comes running, if she's not already camped out waiting for it. The ice packs are reusable and it means we can put her wet food inside at night and it's still OK in the morning. Each feeder takes 3x AA alkaline batteries, and they tend to last a good while (maybe every month or two?).This is brilliant, and has honestly saved me so much time and effort which is not bad at all for the price!

This device is simple to use and easy to set up, and has been incredibly useful in allowing us to leave our cat at home for the day. She isn’t freaked out by it and it’s always worked well for us. One issue I have is that it seems to be counterintuitive for the ice pack to sit beneath the already exposed food slot. It would make a lot more sense if the covered food were sat on top of the ice pack instead. It does work though, and is a lot better value for money than some of the other electric feeders.

Luv this, just the additional ice pack is insane, I just wish 🤞 it lasted more than 24hrs for when I'm not here, I got the big 3 feeder so I expected the ice pack it to be double the size with the extra meet ill be puttn in but it's still great for my 2 male cats when I'm away at the weekend, gives me peace of mind and that's worth it's weight in gold, its timed to go off at 6am and 6pm buy you can time it upto 4 times a day ...takes batteries, I just put them in yest so I don't know how long they'll last but ive a feeln they'll last a while, it looks beautiful and fits in perfectly to any space, even if you're fed up watchn your cats meat dry up and go off, this instantly stops all that, nice and fresh and cool, my 2 males LOVE it, so sturdy, took me 10mns to put it together and fill it and have it set up, no lids on the 3 feeder, you actually lift the top of and fill whatever u want and place the ice pack in and out, u have to take ice pack out every 24hrs to put in freezer for an hour and replace but thats no problem upto 3 pouches would fit in each feeder space, not too heavy and very versatile to fill and carry around, luv ..luv ..LUV !!

I purchased this automatic wet food feeder for my cat, and it’s been a great addition to our routine. The digital timer is very handy, making it easy to set up daily meals without any fuss.One of the key features I needed was a way to keep the food fresh, and the included ice pack does a decent job. During warmer weather, I wouldn’t leave the food out for more than 4 hours, but buying an extra set of ice packs to rotate has been really helpful.The tray is big enough to hold an 80g pouch and deep enough to prevent my cat from making a mess. I’ve placed mine on top of a rubber mat, which keeps it sturdy and ensures it doesn’t move around.The detachable food tray is easy to clean, which makes maintenance simple. My only suggestion for improvement would be a slightly slanted surface to make the food even more accessible for pets.Overall, for the price you pay, this feeder is an excellent option for cats on a wet food diet. Highly recommend for its convenience and thoughtful design!

Bought this for when we're away for the day; got the three-meal one ie one meal you put on the open dish, and two meals on the timer.I chose the digital timer version, a bit more expensive: as you can set a proper clock - 24 hours or 12 hours - rather than set periods of time between one meal and the next [that's too fiddly.]Cat was afraid the first time the bowl rotated - it makes a rather off-putting noise - but the second time she was fine with it. She tried breaking into it, but it's like Fort Knox!Dishes are ok, just about big enough but you wouldn't want to feed your cat all the time with these, it's tough on the whiskers! [yes, there is a thing called 'whisker fatigue' if a cat has to eat out of too-small bowl - irritates their sensitive whiskers.]However, whilst three tests worked fine, when we actually needed it today as we were out all day - the second meal didn't arrive - the bowl didn't rotate. Fortunately it did serve her the first meal.So it might be a good idea to set out a separate bowl of dry food, just in case. I don't think I'll use this a lot, as it's not totally reliable.The other problem is that the digital timer is the size of a watch face, and the numerals are really small and faint. You can't see them, once you've put the bowl down.So I've given the feeder a 4, but really it's a 3.5; useful but clearly not 100% reliable - but a good gadget when it works!

My lab needs a snack every morning at around 5:00 a.m. to tide her over until her breakfast meal at 11:30 a.m. I couldn’t handle these early morning feeds anymore. The other auto pet feeders that I looked into were not right for us because of their noisy timers, and because many were dispensers which we didn’t want - but the Cat Mate C300 has been PERFECT. We leave it in our bedroom on the floor next to our lab’s bed, and we don’t hear a sound because it’s a digital timer. There’s a bit of noise for about 3 seconds as the tray turns, but that’s it. She happily gobbles up her sweet potato and fruit snack (which stays cool all night due to the ice pack under the tray), and then she goes back to bed. We’re no longer sleep deprived, thx to this FANTASTIC feeder. Very well made and easy to use.

Really disappointed as I bought this because I thought it would dispense all 3 meals. You can only automate 2 of the 3 meals so one of them has to be manually put in which defeats the purpose of having 3 separate slots. It was supposed to help for when I have busy days but it feels more of a hinderence.

Je l’utilise depuis 3 semaines quotidiennement pour donner un traitement médical mélangé à de la nourriture toutes les 4 heures à un gros chien. Facile à programmer, à nettoyer, pour le moment il fait son taff, mon chien a ses médicaments même quand je suis absente. L’appareil grince un peu quand le compartiment tourne et mon chien a vite assimilé ce bruit à de la nourriture. Le compartiment est suffisamment grand pour qu’il puisse lécher la compote que j’utilise comme camoufle-médocs et l’appareil est suffisamment lourd et stable pour que le chien ne le bouge pas quand il lèche énergiquement. Mon chien a bien essayé au départ de trouver un moyen d’atteindre la nourriture à coup de crocs mais le coté rond et lisse ne lui a pas permis de trouver une prise. Pour le moment, je n’ai pas eu à changer les piles. Même si c’est un peu cher pour ce que c’est, je ne regrette pas un instant cet achat qui a joué un rôle essentiel dans la nette amélioration de la santé de mon chien.
