If you know what this product is and how to use it, it’s exactly what you expect. There’s not much to say about it. This is a perfectly adequate tool for navigation.

This is the nicest protractor I have used or seen to date. It’s far more durable than ones I’ve been given in the Marines, and the effort the owners put into providing FREE educational information with the product makes this a must have for all advanced and novice users in land navigation. My favorite feature is that it includes the 1:24,000 map scale, because sometimes you’re in places that only have maps in that scale. I wouldn’t normally be able to accurately plot routes and points when I’ve had to eyeball it and pray with a 1:25,000 protractor that I was issued. The ONLY thing I would want more, is an added ring for plotting in milliradians. Now, that is purely from a military stand point, see that it’s very important to be able to plot in milliradians for fire support planning. All in all, this protractor will permanently live with my land nav kit.
