Edmunds Adjustable Table/Lap Stand

Okay first of all the frame is great been looking for a frame that’s suitable for sofa & I found this one great But the screws that come with this frame are rubbish they do not tighten up or anything so ended up buying some other ones to replace Which have worked how they should Apart from that it does the job & I can now sit comfortable on sofa doing what I love

Easy to assemble, but useless. The slotted rods don’t grip the fabric and even when you try to wind it tighter, the fabric is too loose. Also half the winged nuts just slide over the bolts and had to purchase my own.

The Frame itself is the safest one I have found, and easy to use, I don't get on with the frames that you have to clip on. The Stand is a nice shape, but, it is on the weak side because there was no washers or wooden spacers on it for the Wing nuts to grip on to properly, keeps coming undone, had to buy some washers. If it had those it would be great!. I bought a stand that had the wooden Spacers and washers on from somewhere else, it was great, but unfortunately couldn't swap stands over as the bolts on that one didn't fit the holes in the frame of this one, trying to manage with it as I do like the Frame.

While the directions aren't the best (more pictures would be helpful), the assembly itself is easy but the directions can be misleading. For me the most difficult part was that I hadn't used scroll bars before and was trying to have both bars rotating the same way and it would just pull the fabric out. Looked up a picture on the company's website and figured it out Very lightweight and sturdy, movable (portable) to different areas of the house

This could be such a great product if it came with better fittings. The wood is lightweight and sturdy and the frame is well designed. The wing nuts on the scrolling bars of the frame are too feeble to carry the tension needed - they might as well be made of tin foil! I ended up buying my own. Likewise the wing nuts on the bolts that angle the frame - too feeble. A great product that is let down by cheap fittings

Knowing what I know now, I would have not bought this item. I like the idea, and I understand that it’s relatively cheap- but it still costs enough for it to have been a ‘treat’ item for me. It turned up missing 1 of the 8 wingnuts that should have been with it. Only 3 of the wingnuts provided actually tightened at all and the rest just spun uselessly- I have ended up going and buying more from a local DIY shop, who looked at the example I took and told me that the quality of those provided were extremely poor (actually he said something much ruder, but I won’t write it here!). The instructions for putting it all together comprises one single poor line drawing. It’s not terribly hard to figure out, but obviously it didn’t bode well. Buying the additional screws and nuts has made it vastly more useable, but it still lacks some tension. I’ve managed to make the best of it, but wouldn’t recommend it, I was very disappointed.

Extremely pleased with the cross stitch lap stand. Very easy to assemble and use. 3 height settings. Well made. Quick delivery.

It’s great but be aware you have to get new bolts etc these ones included is crap. Wood is really soft and one of my arms has broke by bolt. Hoping glue will help.

Ce cadre pour faire de la broderie est un modèle de table. C'est facile à assembler. Cependant les pieds étant indépendants l'un de l'autre c'est un peu plus instable. Les vis se desserrent fréquemment. Néanmois c'est toute de même bien pratique pour broder.

Il telaio è bellissimo, devo ancora capire come usarlo, dato che è il primo che uso, ma comunque molto bello. L'unica pecca è che gli ugelli che dovrebbero stringere le viti non stringono bene. Per il resto tutto bene.

I am a beginner at the more detailed counted cross stitch (think of patterns from Mystic Stitch). I needed a hands free frame and one big enough to hold larger pieces of fabric. The assembly is easy and so is taking it apart for travel. Rolling the fabric on the scrolls was not hard at all. I did notice that I am periodically tightening the side knobs because of my constant flipping of the frame. I love the height settings, the top one being best for when I am stitching in bed/couch and the lowest one when I am on a table top. Because the frame is so light, it tends to slip around on glass surfaces. To add weight, I used 1 lb ankle weights on each leg to keep a firm stance.

Low quality construction, missing a washer and a screw, screws don’t sit flush with the wood as the holes aren’t countersunk, splintery bits of wood hanging off cuts. Pretty shameful.
