2nd Cutting Perfect Blend Timothy Hay, 10 LB (4.54kg)

My guinea pigs love this hay and now have it on subscription direct from the supplier. Nice and fresh and smells lovely. It is more expensive than other brands, but compared to other brands seems to have better quality. I store it in the box in the garage, and it has lasted a while.

Fresh, green hay in a convenient box. I’ve tried many hay varieties over the years of owning rabbits and small animals but this is certainly some of the best hay I’ve come across. It’s fresh, long stems and very green. Rabbit has taken to it straight away. It’s easy to store and delivered quickly with tracking. Though it’s more expensive than some other hay brands out there, the quality you get is very apparent. Second cut Timothy hay is the gold standard for small pets and great for maintaining dental and gut health in rabbits. Low dust content and apparently tasty according to the resident bunny.

Finally they actually eat hay! Don't think this isn't expensive, because it is! However getting these two to actually eat hay priceless.

This hay arrived in a sturdy cardboard box with no plastic packaging, which I really like. It is good to see companies making an effort to use less plastic. The package arrived really promptly which I was pleased about as my guinea pigs were running out of hay and nowhere on the high street had any stock due to the current situation. The hay itself is great, it smells amazing and is clearly very fresh and green. It is really long so the guinea pigs can hide under it. They love it! The only negative point is that it is quite dusty, so I shake it a little to get the residue off before putting it in their cage. Although this hay is expensive, it is worth the price because the quality and freshness is great and this hay has made my pigs very happy!

We have tried so many brands of hayover the years but this one really is incrediable. Most of the other brands the pigs would pull out the Hay and spread it all over their enclosure and use it for bedding, bit this is never pulled out for that and they really savor it. Totally convinced it's one of the best. 1 x 5k box lasts us well over 3 months for 2 piggies. Even though it's more expensive, I believe it's well worth it. They love it, enjoy the flavour and it's stalks take care of their teeth. Considering piggies need well over 95% of their diet to be Hay this is a very excellent choice.

We bought this hay for our very fussy guinea-pig Toffee. I was worried that he was not eating enough hay (it is essential for their digestion) and wanted a tasty hay that had good fibre but that was low in calcium. After looking at many different types on Amazon, this seemed to fit the bill so I ordered it. It arrived promptly in a big box and Toffee immediately came out to investigate once I put it in his cage (he is an indoor pig), tempted, no doubt, by the lovely fresh grassy smell. The hay was a big success and he munches happily through it. He particularly likes the seedy grass tops in it and happily roots them out. The only problem is the continual munching noise distracts my husband when he is working from home and is on a conference call (Toffee shares his office!). But its a lovely fresh hay with plenty of long stems and just seems to consist of grass (no weeds).

Third order of this hay and quality seems to have declined over time. Shorter pieces and far more dusty bits and some brown clumps. Not ideal given the cost compared to other brands.

I've got two Guinea Pigs who are 4 months old, I put some of this timothy hay in a cardboard box to see if they would like it as they've previously been quite picky. They absolutely love it, they've been munching on it constantly, rolling around on top of the hay pile and pop-corning around the cage. The box was filled right to the top and the hay smells and feels really fresh. I'm really pleased with the purchase and would definitely buy again.

Parentesi: Mi secca pagare così tanto del fieno. È fieno. Letteralmente erba tagliata. Saltellano d'appertutto.

I wasn't sure about buying this at first because it is almost 2-3x more what I pay for local hay, however I was getting frustrated at the inconsistency and usually a lot of browned hay I was getting. This is my first order of SPS hay but I am completely happy with the quality of hay that was in the box. Not only is it a nice deep green, but there is minimal dust and a lot less broken pieces, longer strands for optimal munching! I do see less wasted by my buns, usually they will leave a lot of broken pieces in their box. EDITED I have 3 buns and this box lasted me about 3 weeks!

I’ve always had a great experience with Small Pet Select—it’s always a win in our house. My bun goes crazy every time he gets a fresh new box. After ordering all three cuts, I’ve noticed my bunny definitely prefers (and goes more crazy over) 2nd cut. I had gotten 1st cut the past two times, then just switched back to 2nd cut again, and this time I noticed I can’t seem to keep his hay bin full. By the time I go to refill it, there are literally just scraps left. So now I know—it’s 2nd cut for him. I’ve bought 1st, 2nd, and Value, and they’re all good, so I definitely recommend trying them all to find the cut your pet likes best. I usually get the 10–12 lb box, and it lasts my single bunny a long time since I fill his bin once a day. The 2nd cut still has a lot of the toppers my bun absolutely loves, and the nice, firm/hard dry hay is great for his dental and gut health—definitely a must-have for bunnies. I know there are some reviews mentioning issues, but it’s important to note that this is a great company and what they stand for is amazing. Things happen, and it’s ultimately our responsibility to double-check what we give our pets. We check our kids’ candy at Halloween (and in general), so why wouldn’t we check what we give our pets too? They also offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee—if you’re not happy with your box, you can get your money back or a replacement. I personally haven’t had any major issues. One box had some hay that was a little on the browner side, but there was still plenty of good hay. I just left what I didn’t use in the box, tossed it later, and still felt like I got my money’s worth. Absolutely love Small Pet Select!

I’m so happy that this is shipped to SG! I’ve heard so many good reviews from overseas but never really had the chance to try this brand. Needless to say, our buns were so happy with the new batch of hay! They immediately hopped on to the buffet of hay when I opened the box (yes, upon delivery, they knew it was for them). Can I say that the hay was so well packaged too! Not damaged in any way! Hay was top notch quality, super green and fresh! Do note that there’s quite abit of stems so your bunnies can’t be too fussy! It’ll definitely be one of my repeated purchase!
