Smidge Midge Proof Headnet

This head netting definitely stops the Scottish midge, unlike other mosquito nets which claim they do. Likes, It's a good size, waterproof on top to stop your head/hat getting wet and it's long enough to tuck into your collar and most importantly it prevents midges/(no seeums) from getting to you. Dislikes, visability is not as good as a mosquito net but trust me this will not bother you.

It’s a good item, can see though what people mean about the colour of it, if it were black it might be easier to see through. It did a good job for me when we did the NC500 in Scotland, saw many a person with lots of red midge bites on their faces, furiously flapping whilst trying to set up and pack up camp, no such bother with one of these gloves and repellent. Just buy one, you’ll have a more enjoyable break.

Bought this based on recommendations. Some other reviews that I read are true, in that the colour of this netting renders you almost blind. I'm not sure how or why, something about the colour makes it a bit hard to see through. Or, makes the environment look a bit blurry. Maybe it's just some people. I'm sad to find myself in that group. However, it's effective. Fits well. I'm glad I bought it. I've barely had to use it, thankfully. I lived to tell the tale.

I look like a bit of a tool wearing this but it is brilliant for keeping the midgies and bugs off my face. That's from someone who is always eaten alive! Packs away into a smart, tint little bag whoch fits easily into any pocket of a rucksack.

Works exactly as it should. I had a cheaper one and let the dreaded midge through! Well worth the money and good value. Great product and i will always have one in my kit.

Brilliant very effective at keeping out mosquitoes and midges and worth its weight in gold.

Purchased these for an adventure in Scotland and they worked great! They pack well and were very effective. We were so glad we bought them before our trip as many shops were sold out of similar products once we were there.

It definitely keeps the midges out but as other reviewers have said, it really reduces visibility, a lot. It would be difficult to see where you're placing your feet for example, if crossing a river. So hopefully you wouldn't have to wear it for your full hike, only where the midges appear.
