Can the buzzer be turned off

On the Martindale BZ101 the buzzer can't be turned off. Alternatively, the Martindale CP501 offers the same functionality but without the buzzer.

When would the tester detect "no earth" ? at what voltages between n-e?

My daughter said she was getting electric tingling shocks when removing washing from the washing machine drum. Bought this unit and it detected no or faulty earth. Called in an electrician who found 150 volts coming down the earth wire The electrician found a faulty insulation on the live wire which was being induced into the earth. For me the unit removed any doubt of static electricity and identified a serious fault that Needed the electric cable replacing Easily checks all sockets to give confidence. Worth every penny.

How loud is it. It is to be used in an office to check underfloor socket boxes at the same time as pat testing the desk equipment?

european version does Martindale make a European version with a 2 pin plug suitable for Germany?

The voltage in Germany is 230V so with the right socket adaptor I assume it should work. Best to ask Martindale Customer Service
