Replacement Internal Cooling Fan for Xbox Series S (XSS) Console

Great purchase! Saved me $300!! Not sure if my fan went out or not. The vents were so caked with dirt and dust my xbox kept overheating and shutting off! Bought this fan, which came with the screwdrivers, and we were able to clean the xbox vents. We went ahead and replaced the fan while we were in there. My xbox works great!! No more overheating! Also bought some external fans!! Would absolutely recommend! Bought this for the xbox series s.

Omg! This saved me 300$ to buy a new one. My son dropped his Xbox while moving and ended up damaging the fan! I found out that’s what it was after taking it apart and cleaning it. It is so easy to install you just have to be able to unscrew screws then screw them back in. You can watch a step by step on YouTube if you need help. The fan runs quiet I was worried it wasn’t on but I put my hand and felt the air! I havnt had any problems so far and I hope I dont but it was definitely worth the money! I did have to cut a corner piece to make it fit like others have said but it works good! My son is going to be so happy when he gets home!

The removal of the old fan and the install of the new one has to be the easiest part I have replaced in a console. The fan is dead silent after I installed it and I thought I didn’t install correctly but then put it on a test playing Battlefield 6 and it worked flawlessly. 10/10 can recommend.

The fan works great. I only have 4 stars because there is a small corner that has a small amount of plastic that is touching the heatsink and when it does you possibly will get a burning smell like I did. This part was not the fan itself and just part of the housing so I was able to cut it off and then the smell went away. Other than this small modification it runs and fits great A++

Like others have said it needs the square peg cut off but it works like it should. 👍

Installed this around Oct 20,2025, and today is march 22,2026 and it’s already busted. Lasted about 5 months before being loud as ever like the original fan. While yes the Install was quick and easy. Obviously it’s made of cheap materials if the original fan lasted a couple years and this one barely made it 5 months. I would recommend trying another brand.

Exact fit for xbox series s. Don't listen to the negative nellys that say it's loud or you have to trim something. It's super quiet and I didn't trim a thing. It's so quiet I didn't think it was even on I had to feel to see that it was working. Now hopefully it solves the problem of it shutting off. I played it for a bit but my kids are the real testers.

Great product. Fixed my xbox with this fan and the tools it came with. Only concern was a small piece of plastic that I had to cut off to get the fan to completely lay flat inside the xbox. I think this was a discrepancy between xbox models and was not an issue with a little bit of DIY work.
